It was a bright sunny day, the trees were green and the willows leant over the river as it flowed past. He sat cross-legged on the grass by the path, he was wearing a blue shirt and brown trousers, his hair was brown and straight as always. He was drawing something, using his finger to smudge it, his head moved in time with what he was doing then he looked up and became aware that she was looking at him. She stood just in-front of him, dressed in a thin shiny white dress that had 3 layers of tassels going to her knees from the waist and long white gloves. She had long brown hair with bare-feet and long dainty limbs.

HeyAdam put down his pad and stood up a little startled to meet her did you want something?he slowed down and looked at her eyes. They were a striking green with an element of sadness to them, Are you ok?Adam lowered his voice taking a step closer to her. Her eyes became afraid and he reached out It's alright” she started to back away with her hands behind her back but Adam put his hands on her upper arms and gently got her to stop Hey. I'm not going to hurt you. Her breathing was heavy for a moment before it calmed and then she looked him directly in his eyes. The look lasted only a moment when Adam heard a sound behind him like a gust of wind he flickered his gaze backwards and her eyes followed his look.

For a moment there stood a Hare coated in white and standing on it's hind legs looking curiously at Adam, but then it shrunk and became a black ball of swirling mist. He watched the mist in amazement and bewilderment as it lifted it's black wings and took off into the air. It moved swiftly round Adam, he turned to follow it watching it's black head searching the area, then it vanished into the darkness.

Everything around Adam became pitch black, apart from a piece of white ribbon that danced in the space before him. He stood watching it move freely like a ballet dancer, going this way and that. Then it drew back and shot upwards. Keeping his eye on it Adam watched as it jolted and shook about him, as he watched it it's movements became faster and more violent, then ribbon started to darken and twist. A deep red liquid ran down it's white body Who are you? he cried out.

mray2174: I did like this story. I would totally recommend it to a friend, but it didn't seem like a book. AudreyInAshes: I think this book is a really great modern-age thriller. The idea of the drug and its symptoms were explained generously, and while I did really enjoy this I just want to add that there is some mild gore and the killing of a pet (sorry to spoil, but I like to be prepared.) It is very interesting,...

SeanSavage: Good plot that moves fairly quickly. Time passage somewhat vague. but not indecipherable. Very good syntax, grammar and punctuation. The story flowed very well, however, the breaks between chapters and the time jumps tended to be slightly confusing at first. I could see where the author was going...

Deleted User: An unusual story, well worth reading. Good conversations, excellent prose, and keeps my interest, maybe because I was there, back in the day. You won't be able to pt this book down.

NRF: This was a very interesting story line, although the author did not go far enough in explaining the war and why some received special powers and some didn't. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more of this author's writing.

Kashaf Azmat: The concept is excellent everything is well defined that you can picture the whole scenario which makes you feel connected to the plot and this is the thing that catches my eye and this what i am looking for in every novel.Keep it up
