Prologue

Paul McCracken is a factory worker from Belfast who began writing at the age of nineteen after attending a short, five day course in film making. He went on to start writing his own screenplays and found himself in the quarter-finals of an international screenplay competition for two years in a row. Whilst working in a factory role by day, by night he spent his time trying to craft a career in writing.

Paul then branched out into writing novels. His first ”The Last Rains Of Winter“ secured him a literary agent as well as a publishing contract. It’s release is still pending.

Now, his second, which will be his debut novel, Layla’s Song is the latest work completed by Paul. He continues to work in a factory, with the aspiration and belief he can, in time, become a professional writer.
