Chapter 19

Jensen’s POV

The next morning I woke early and went downstairs to the kitchen. I decided that I wanted to show off my mad cooking skills, plus Lynn and I had a big day ahead of us. I went to work making pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. I had learned to cook from Mike and Catherine’s mother. She had taken me in as one of her kids and she was an amazing woman. When she and James died it had killed me just as much as it killed Mike and Catherine. I tried to shake off the memory and went back to cooking. I had coffee going and the table was set. I was just about done when I heard a husky voice behind me. “So, you like to cook huh? It smells great son.” I turned and saw Cornelius standing in the doorway to the kitchen.

“Yeah, my friend’s mom taught me. Why don’t you get the girls and Dillion, breakfast is ready.” He nodded and headed off to wake everyone.

After we ate breakfast, Lynn went up to get dressed while Delphina and I cleaned up. Once we were alone she started to speak with me. “Jensen, I want you to know that Cornelius and I will keep Lynn safe. I know that someone is after her even though she won’t tell us what is going on.” Something in her voice told me that I didn’t need to worry about Lynn while she was here.

“I trust that you will protect her. I am sure that when she is ready she will tell you everything.” Delphina nodded.

“So where are you two off to today?” I looked over at her as I finished the last dish.

“I am not sure. Lynn wants to go see the sights. Any suggestions?” She smiled a big grin.

“Oh there are so many places, but I recommend seeing the ancient Colosseum’s and the Sistine Chapel. Our driver will take you anywhere you want to go. I will have him get the car.”

She ran off to get the driver and I started to walk out to find Lynn. When I came out of the kitchen she was standing at the bottom of the stairs. She looked fantastic. She wore a simple white dress with slits on the sides and white sandals. Her hair was down and her make up was lightly done. I couldn’t stop looking at her. She saw me looking at her and smiled. “See something you like?” I walked over to her and took her in my arms.

“Damn right. Are you sure you want to go out today? We can just stay in our room all day.” She shook her head at me.

“Oh no, you don’t. I want to see the sights and I am sure that I will be under lock and key while you are gone. So come on let’s go.” I laughed as she took my hand and tugged me out the door. She was right though, I didn’t really want her to be out and about while I was gone.

We walked out to the car that was waiting for us and got in. The driver didn’t ask where we wanted to go he just started to drive. I assumed that Delphina had told him what we want to do. Sure enough, after about an hour’s drive, we pulled up in front of the Sistine Chapel. Lynn’s eyes lit up as I helped her out of the car and we walked into the building. I have to admit that it was truly a once in a lifetime experience that I never thought I would have. The art and the overall experience was amazing and watching Lynn’s reaction was like watching a child in a toy store. Her eyes were wide with excitement as she walked with me hand in hand. I was enjoying every moment of it.

Over the course of the next four to five hours, the driver chartered us around Rome to several places. Each one was as memorable as the next. Our last stop was the ancient Colosseum. Lynn took off ahead of me to the top of the stairs. When I caught up to her I placed my arms around her and held her. “Thank you for this Jensen.” I laughed and she turned back to me. “What’s so funny?” I looked down at her and stared into her eyes.

“Nothing. I was just thinking that I really like seeing you happy and carefree.” She reached up and kissed me intensely and passionately. As she pulled away from me I looked down and smiled. “What was that for?” She shrugged her shoulders and turned back around to look at the amazing view.

“I am just so happy and satisfied right now. Jensen, you make me feel at ease.” I felt the same way. Whenever I was with Lynn I immediately became calm and felt all my tension roll off of me. It had been two years since I had even felt something close to that.

We stood there watching the sunset and talking. We laughed and simply forgot about all the things that were still to come. “Come on Lynn, I promised Delphina we would be home for dinner.” She nodded, but I saw a frown come across her face as we walked back to the car. “What’s wrong Lynn?” I asked her as we climbed into the car.

“I just don’t want this day to end. I know that you are leaving in the morning and it just brought back the feelings I had.” I took her hand and pulled her into my lap. I kissed her and ran my hand up and down her back.

“It’s alright Lynn. Let’s not think about that right now and just enjoy the rest of the night together.” She nodded and smiled as my hand squeezed her ass.

“Jensen, the driver.” She laughed as she smacked my hand away and climbed out of my lap. I laughed and let her out of my lap.

Lynn’s POV

I sat back down next to him and took his hand in mine. I had really enjoyed the day and didn’t want to spoil it, so I pushed the bad feeling I had out of my mind. When we got back to the house Delphina was cooking in the kitchen and I could hear Dillion laughing as he helped her. Jensen and I walked in and I had to laugh because Dillion looked like he was making a bigger mess than he was helping. They both turned around and smiled. “Dinner should be ready in an hour you two. Why don’t you go freshen up?” Delphina said with a smile on her face. I looked at Jensen and grabbed his hand. I quickly pulled him up the stairs to the room we were sharing. I had a sudden urge to feel him all over my body and we had the time. He laughed as I pushed him down on the bed and locked the door behind us.

“What are you doing Lynn?” He said as I slowly walked over to him unzipping my dress and letting it slide off my body to the ground. His eyes grew big as he realized what I was doing. I climbed on top of him and straddled him. He watched as I unhooked my bra and slid it down my arms and tossed it to the floor. His eyes were full of lust as he brought his body up to a sitting position and he started to suck and nip at my exposed breast. I moaned out as he let his fingers push past my panties and into my wet opening. He continued to suck on my nipples as I slowly started to ride his fingers. He quickly found my spot and focused his torture there. I could feel my orgasm building and knew that I was about to explode. “Oh Jensen.” I moaned as I came around his fingers.

He flipped me over on to the bed and quickly took his pants and boxers off. He practically ripped my underwear off then pushed into me making me moan louder. “God Lynn your so fucking sexy.” He said with a low growl as he started to pump in and out of my sex faster. He brought his lips to mine as our bodies found their rhythm together. I could feel myself building again as he pushed deeper inside me, harder and harder. I found my release as I screamed his name. It wasn’t long after that I felt his body shake and he soon came hard as well. He pulled out of me and laid next to me, both of us breathing heavy. I pulled myself up and laid my head on his chest as he placed his arm around me.

“Jensen can you just promise me that you will be careful when you handle things with Joseph.” I felt him take in a deep breath.

“Lynn, look at me.” I sat up in front of him and covered myself with the sheet. He stared deep into my eyes. “I want you to know one thing. No matter what, I will always find my way back to you. It will take more than someone like Joseph King to take me away from you.”

I don’t know why, but the way he said this to me and the way he looked at me with those deep green eyes, I knew that he was being completely honest with me. “Okay Jensen, I believe you. I will try and stop worrying.” He pulled me to him and kissed me.

“Come on beautiful, let’s get ready for dinner.” I nodded and got up and went to the bathroom with Jensen right behind me. We showered quickly together and got dressed, then we made our way back downstairs. As we got to the bottom of the stairs I heard several voices in the dining area. I could make out all of them except for two of them. As we walked in everyone turned and looked at us. There were a young man and woman standing next to Cornelius and Delphina. I quickly noticed the striking resemblance between the young man and Cornelius.

“Lynn, Jensen this is our son Felix and his wife Stephanie,” Cornelius said as we walked in and everyone took their seats.

I couldn’t help but notice that Felix had a curious look on his face as he watched Jensen and I. “Dad I know who Lynn is. We use to play when we were what, five or six I think. How have you been?” I didn’t remember Felix at all, but then again I didn’t remember a lot from when I was that young.

“Well, I am doing great. How about you?” Felix smiled at me and something about him made me feel a little uneasy. I didn’t think that he would ever hurt me, but it was as if he had this demeanor about him that commanded all the attention in the room.

“I am fine. Just working the family business like I was born to do. I will be running it soon enough.” I felt the table shake a little and Felix yelped in pain.

“That’s enough son. No one wants to talk business.” Cornelius boomed from next to him. Felix’s eyes flashed with anger as he stood and left the table. I smiled a little as Cornelius apologized for him then left the table after him.

A few minutes later they both returned to the table in good spirits as Delphina and a maid started to serve dinner. “I am sorry. I forgot the rule about no business talk at the table. Please forgive me.” I nodded at him and so did Jensen who was just sitting next to me with his arms crossed staring at Felix. I placed my hand on his leg under the table and he looked down at me. I mouthed to him to behave and he started to calm down. I don’t know why he was upset, maybe he felt it was disrespectful the way Felix acted. I didn’t ask and he was already calmed so we enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere became peaceful. As we talked and drank some wine after our dinner, Jensen’s phone rang. He excused himself and walked out into the hallway next to the dining area. I watched him as he left then turned back to my conversation with Stephanie. She was actually a really nice woman and we were hitting off great. “What the fuck do you mean? Where is Jordan?” We all heard Jensen boom from the next room. “Fine, I am on my way back tonight. Tell everyone to meet me at the penthouse in New York. I want this over with.” I watched as he came back into the room. “I am sorry, but I have to leave tonight there is an emergency that I must deal with.”

“Of course son. The driver will take you to the airport when you are ready.” Cornelius said to him as Dillion and I stood and walked over to him.

“Lynn I need to talk with Dillion. Why don’t you go up to the room and get my things ready please.” I nodded and headed to the room as Dillion and Jensen walked outside. I started to freak out as I got his things together. What had happened? I hoped everyone was okay. I tried to keep calm as I heard the bedroom door open behind me. Jensen was at my side and turned me to face him. He took his hand and wiped away a tear from my cheek. “Shh. Everything is fine. I just need to go back now.” I stared up at him.

“Don’t lie to me Jensen, what happened?” He smiled.

“There is my brave, feisty woman. Okay, there was an attack at my warehouse in New York. Most of the men I left there are dead and we can’t find one of them. One of the other men who survived the attack said it was Joseph’s men.” I took a deep breath and wrapped my arms around him.

“Please come back to me,” I whispered.

“I will, I promise. Please just do as Dillion says and don’t leave without him. I don’t want to worry about you.” I nodded.

“I will, now you better get going.” I gave him one last kiss as he left the room. I watched him through the window as the driver drove down the driveway. “Please be careful.” I said to myself then went back to the bed and laid down. I let the tears fall as I cried myself to sleep. I wanted to be strong, but I just couldn’t shake the bad feeling I had.
