CHAPTER 8

“Okay, here we go.” Helping Wren into the cage, she’s already starting to feel the effects of the moon rising. Closing the door, rapping the chains about it, and locking it. Logan is already in wolf form, sitting back, watching us. “You’re going to be okay Wren. Don’t try to fight it. The more you fight, the harder it will be on you and your body.” She didn’t say anything, just lied there, breathing hard.

Moving next to Logan, sitting on the floor, watching her. I have no idea how long this is going to take, but I pray to god, that it won’t take long.

A wet nose, pressing into me. Looking down, Logan has his head in my lap, looking up at me. “It’s going to be okay. Just stay calm, and let her know we’re both here for her.” “Mira I need you to try and get into Wren’s mind; and help her through all this. I can tell she’s scared out of her mind, just try and get in there, to help her. She needs all the help she can get right now.”

I will do my best, but her wolf side still hasn’t taken over completely, I do not know if I will be able to enter, but I will try. Perhaps with Logan’s help; and together we will get through to her.

She’s right. We’re both werewolves, we should be able to lend her power or something.

Going into his mind, linking our beings as one.

“Logan, I don’t know if you can hear me, but we need to help her. Join together, and become as one.”

“It is worth a try.” Taking hold of both of our inner wolves, wrapping them around each other; forming one long cord, I began to gently wrap it around Wren giving her the strength to get through this.

And we will get her through this in one piece. Feeling her pain, I’m trying to take it from her, make the pain my own. As the change happens.

After what seems like hours, the change finally started to happen. Wren hasn’t been able to move at all. For a short time I thought she had died, then her body jerked, and the change started to happen.

She managed to rasp out. “Please make it stop! It hurts so much.” “I know baby. Just a little longer, it’s already starting to happen. I can feel it in you. Just calm down.” Bone’s snapping, she cried out in pain. Pain ripping through me, I just want to comfort her, but I can’t go in there. If I do right now, she could hurt me, or I could hurt her. Finally her wolf form started to take shape, watching her body crack, pop; and reshape.

I so wish that I can take this pain away for her, but I can’t she just has to get through this on her own.

Whimpering, brought me back. Snapping my eyes open, there she is, in all her glory; lying on the ground, is a grey female wolf, with green eyes.

Moving closer to her, calmly trying not to spook her. “Hey Wren. You did it. You did an amazing job baby. You’re a full blown werewolf now.”

Reaching into her mind, trying to mind link with her wolf.

“Can you hear me?”

There’s just silence, until there’s a small voice in my head.

“Who are you? Where am I?”

“I’m Lilith. My best friend is Wren, she was turned; and you’re her inner wolf. What’s your name?”

“I’m Violet.”

“Hello Violet. I’m Lilith. My inner wolf is Mira, and that’s Logan. We’re your pack. Now you two need to rest, before you change back.”

Drifting from her mind, her breathing evened; now she’s sleeping peacefully. “Logan you can change back now. It’s going to be okay.” Moving back, he started to change back, looking at Wren, I unlocked and pulled the chains from the cage. Setting a blanket on Wren, we both settled next to her. “Is she really going to be okay?” “Yes, I think she will. Her wolf is Violet; they both just need to rest, and there be fine. It’s late, head up to bed, I’ll stay and watch over her.” “You sure?” Nodding, he kissed my head and left, heading upstairs.

Settling in next to her, a yawn coming out.

Meaning to close my eyes only for a moment, but the moment they closed, sleep took over.
