I sat across Noah at Yasmin's number one place to go, the Cafe. After showing Noah the tapes he decided we needed some coffee with vodka in it. Trust me, I wasn't complaining. It's been awhile since I was able to drink because of my baby.
"I just don't know how to feel about what I just saw." He says, taking a bite of his blueberry muffin.
"Me neither. This is all-"
"Insane?" Noah and I had a habit of finishing each other's sentences. It's what I loved most about him. I nodded and he took my hand.
"Elena, you do know the only person who could've done this, right?" I glared at him and shook my head.
"No, he wouldn't. It's been so long. Why would he strike now?"
"Because that guy is insane. She is sixteen now, old enough to choose who she wants to live with."
"But she never knew about him." He stopped, his glass in midair.
"You never told Yasmin about her father?"
"He is not her father! He never has been and never will be!"
"Elena..." I stood up and he grabbed my arm.
"What? I will not believe that he is behind all this. Because, Noah...if he is. We are all in danger."
