After the three of them left I waited for my "dad" to come and tell me about his past. After three minutes he entered with a bag from some store I have never heard of.

"What is that?" I asked him as he set the bag on the bed next to me.

"Your favorite foods and some extra clothes." I paused and opened the bag slowly, looking at him as I did it. I frowned when I pulled out beef jerkey, cherry vanilla Coke and two twix.

"How did you know that I loved this stuff?" I asked with a mouthful of Jerkey.

"Like I said, I am your father. I raised you until you were four then your mother left me."

"Why would she do that?"

"I don't know. She just said she wasn't happy with me." I glared at him because I knew he was lying. I got it from my mom's side, I could tell if someone was telling the truth or not. So I immediately knew he was lying when he started fidgeting his fingers and not making eyes contact.

"Cut the crap. I know you are lying. Why did she actually leave?" He sighed and stared me in the eyes.

"I killed her parents."
