Chapter 7


I was finally able to cut through the rope with the needle, thank God they used a flimsy rope or I would have been screwed. I worked on my feet and in two minutes was standing up by the door, listening for anyone. When no noise was heard I scrambled onto my hands and knees so they couldn't see me. I gasped then covered my mouth when I saw how huge the place was. There were too many doors and I didn't know which one led to the exit. Looks like I'm going to have to go through every door and hope I don't run into anybody.

About ten minutes later I had only two doors left. One on the right and the other on the left, I stood, staring at the both of them. I had a fifty-fifty chance of getting out of here without getting caught. I froze when I heard talking and the door to the left started to open. I ran as fast as I could to the other door and closed it quietly, holding my breath when the voices passed. I sagged with relief when I realized I hadn't been caught and I smiled.
"Hello Yasmin." The smile on my face faded and I turned to see a tall man with dark brown hair and thick eyebrows staring at me from behind a desk. I reached for the door but he pressed a green button on his desk and the door clicked.
"Who are you?" I asked him, backing up against the wall.
"Someone who has been waiting a very long time to talk to you."
