“It...it opened!” Jocephine said with amazement, she turned her head to Ria, confused, “What do you mean suspects?”

She was silent and paused before turning to look at her, she was about to answer her question when they heard low voices. “What was that?” Carl asked.

“More like, who was that?” Ronjay added.

“Maybe the people who lives in here are somewhere near this room. We should go to them to ask permission if we could stay here for a night.” Keila stated.

They agreed that they should get permission, but looking at the opened door, they suddenly felt frightened. There’s something eerie about it that made them uneasy, “What are you all so scared? It’s just dark, but there’s no ghost!” Luis stated. Luis was the first to step inside but then atvthe moment he turned his head to the side, a figure of a person standing at the side of the door shocked him and immediately retreated back to the room where they were in.

“Ghost!” he exclaimed.

The thought of his reaction came to him and felt internally embarrassed, he glanced over at Jayjay and Justine who were staring at him. Justine smirked while Jayjay giggled, Luis immediately stood up straight and fixed his tie and clothes and let out a cough.

He averted his gaze from them, “Believe it or not, I saw someone.” his frightened face returned to his serious expression.

“Don’t act all cold, you’re still a coward like before.” Rica said in mockery. Luis ignored her.

“Being scared won’t get us anywhere, I’m gonna go.” Ria stated and walked towards the door but Keila blocked her with her arm.

“Being tough alone won’t help, you also have to be careful.” Keila said as a warning. Instead of letting Ria go, Keila walked through the door carefully and slowly.

She went into the darkness, allowing it to completely swallow her. She looked back at the light emitting from the door and saw that she has gotten far. It took a while before her eyes adapted to the darkness, and saw someone standing by another door.

The figure had a long hair, so she guessed that it might be a woman. She couldn’t see its face at all since they are both engulfed in darkness. But among the shadows covering them, she could clearly see her smiling. The woman put her index finger on her lips, making a hush pose while still grinning widely. She seductively waved her hand, gesturing her to come near.

“𝐊𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐚, 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.”

“She’s taking too long! Something must have happened! Let’s go, now!” Klair said, frantically. Still anxious about what may have happened to her friend.

“Maybe she’s still trying to find the room where those people we heard are.” Leyan said.

“Before she even go far, she would have come back to tell us to follow along.” Ria stated and Klair nodded in agreement.

Luis clicked his tongue loud enough for all to hear, “I’m telling you, She must have seen the person I saw earlier.” he said. He rolled his eyes, “But as if you would believe me.” he added with a bitter tone.

“We don’t have time to spare.” Lloki muttered and walked through the door and left. They all looked at each other awkwardly, while Ria followed and left. So did Klair, until others also followed along.

“It’s so dark!” Elay exclaimed. She lost her balance and accidentally clinged to Ronjay, Startled but he helped her walk, “You okay?”

“Yeah..” she answered. There was an awkward silence between them, considering the fact that they were once highschool lovers.

“Ow! Hey! That hurts!” Jayjay rubbed his foot as someone stepped on it.

“Oh sorry, that was your foot?” Klair asked with a bit of sarcasm.

“Don’t just suddenly stop like that.” Jayjay added but Klair was already long gone and far from him.

Jayjay scratched his head while Leyan bumped into him, “Sorry, I couldn’t see anything.” She said. “It’s fine.” He shortly muttered and continued to walk and follow the others.

Jocephine clinged to her bestfriend and chuckled with obvious mockery, “Hihihihi.”

Klair pushed Jocephine’s face that was closed to hers and rolled her eyes. “I know what you’re thinking so stop it!”

“Jay—” Jocephine was about to say Jayjay but Klair took a glimpse at her back and looked at Jocephine and smirked, “Jay—son!” she teased.

Jocephine frowned and hit her.

“This is where Keila probably went.” Lloki stated, Stopping in front of a door. “How’d you know it was here?” Klair asked.

“Instincts.” He answered, short.

Ria went to the door and put her ear on the door to hear if there really was someone inside.

But the door opened, startling her and a hand grasped her mouth, pulling her inside. The door closed with a loud bang echoing through the halls, leaving them frightened and dumbfounded.

Ria wriggled and resisted the person holding her. Another person held her hand trying to stop her from removing the hand. But she pushed the person away, and removed the hand covering her mouth with all of her strength. “Who are you?!!” she exclaimed and pulled the person’s arm to its back.

“Relax, Relax. It’s me!”

She released the arm after hearing the familiar voice. The lights went open and was surprised to see them.

The others took a while to process what had happened. “I don’t want to go in there! Please!” Rica begged.

“But we have to go save Ria!” Agatha said.

“Didn’t you see what happened? They took her in! What in heavens do you think happened to her!” Rica argued.

They all looked when they saw lights from the slits of the door, but then it went dark again. “Ria isn’t all weak. She could have had resisted the grasped and shouted that it was dangerous for us to go inside.” Justine stated.

Lloki nodded, “Right, I don’t think something terribly bad happened to her.”

Agatha grabbed the doorknob, “Let’s go inside.” she twisted the knob and they all went in, another dark room again.

Without waiting for their orders, Jayson willingly tried to find the switch again. Since he knows that he’s the one who’s others gonna call to switch it on.

But before Jayson even try to find the switch, the lights went on. Revealing the faces that they knew for 4 years or even more.

But among those faces, one particularly caught all of their attention.

A face which they have just recently seen.

That person just sat there, smiling. As if nothing ever happened to her.

As if it never wilted.

Rica covered her mouth in terror, couldn’t believe what she had seen. Even Arneau, who was never been scared at ghosts, was dumbfounded by the sight.

“S-she’s alive..!” Elay stuttered, couldn’t stop the trembling of her knees.

It was Ma’am Rosa.
