The Break In

Mia POV

I stretch my arms and legs as the sun came pouring into my window. I smiled as I realized today was the first day of my summer. “Mia!” I heard my mother holler out.

“I’m awake!” I yelled back.

“Be ready in an hour if you want to go to town with me to pick up our supplies.” I pulled my covers back and jumped out of the bed. Running to the door I hollered back to my mother.

“I’m jumping into the shower now.” It had been almost an hour when I met my mother in the kitchen. I grabbed a blueberry muffin and started to shove it in my mouth. My father was sitting on the porch drinking his coffee and reading the newspaper. I think Harper was still sleeping, and Seth, of course, was already down by the water. Taking my muffin I walked out to my father taking a seat next to him and just watched him.

“What you doing princess?” He asked me. I smiled at him. My father was my best friend. I had always been a daddy’s girl.

“I’m going into town with mom to pick our things up and then I thought I'd go to the lake view and see who is here for the summer.”

“Sounds like a plan, but don’t forget I want us to go out on the water tonight. I have some really good steaks coming and I want to grill out on the water.” My father got us a pontoon boat two years ago. At first, I thought it was the silliest looking thing, but once we took it out we all had a blast. You can do everything on this boat. Grill out and swim, lay around, anything you wanted. My father takes it to the middle of the lake and we just have a blast.

“Don’t worry daddy, I’ll be back in time. I wouldn’t miss it.” My mother stood at the back door with her arms crossed. I looked up at her.

“Are you ready?” She asked me. I nodded at her and got up, kissed my dad on the cheek, and walked in. My mother didn’t even say goodbye to him. Halfway down the road I just looked at her. “What Mia?” She said with a smile on her face.

“Are you and daddy okay?”

“Why do you ask that?”

“Because I’m not dumb. I know how the two of you are. You didn’t even kiss him goodbye this morning. I also heard you two last night.” My mother just sighed.

“It’s a long story, but it’s nothing for you to worry about.” I just gave her a smile. When my mother says something like that, it means she doesn’t want to talk about it. That’s okay with me as long as they are okay. I won’t interfere with it. It took us almost an hour to reach the small town. During the summertime, the little town is buzzing with people. I had already seen some cute guys and I was hoping to get into the scene with them all. We pulled up in front of the store and I jumped out of the car.

“Mia?” I heard a girl’s voice say behind me. I turned to see Casy, a girl I meet like three summers ago. She is my age and I really didn’t do too much with her. I was also way into my family, but I was still kind of friends with her. Casy was a local here and always knew about all the good parties and what to do during the summer.

“Hey Casy, how have you been?”

“I’m good, are you here for the whole summer?” I nodded at her. “Please tell me I’m going to get your butt to some parties this summer?”

“Yeah, I’m in real need of excitement. If you know what I mean?”

“Really? Right on. There is one going on tonight. You down?” I looked at my mom who had already gone inside the store.

“Give me your number, I have this thing with my family for dinner, but when it’s over. I’ll sneak away with you.”

“How about I join you and your family for dinner and then you and I can just sneak away together.” I smiled and wrote down the address for her. I told her to be there at like five. We laughed and said goodbye. I was super excited, finally something fun in my life. I found my mother in the store and we got all our supplies together and loaded the car back up.

“Who was the girl?” My mother asked.

“Her name is Casy, I met her like two summers ago. I invited her for dinner tonight. I hope that’s okay?”

“I don’t mind. Your father on the other hand might care. Only because we’re going out on the boat.” I just shrugged my shoulders.

“He will be okay with it. He is always saying I need to make more friends.”

“True.” We both laughed a little. The rest of the day I paid attention to my parents. They weren’t arguing or being rude to each other, but they weren’t really saying much to each other either. They needed to come out of whatever funk they were in so we could enjoy this summer.

“Dad?” I said and he turned to look at me.

“Whatever you and mom are going through, can you just say you’re sorry so we can start having a good summer.” He reached out a patted my hand.

“I’ll see what I can do.” He said and walked inside. I watched him walk over to my mother in the kitchen. At first, she turned away from him. You could tell she wasn’t in the mood, but then I watched as my father pressed her against the wall. I was far away and had no idea what they were saying, but he was saying something to her. Within a matter of seconds, they were kissing. I walked off the porch and headed down by the water. I’m glad my parents are making up, but I don’t want to see that. I found Harper laying in the sun, listing to her headphones. I took a seat next to her.

“Mom and dad doing any better?” She asked me.

“Yeah, they’re making up right now.”

“Gross.” She said as she placed her headphones back in her ears. I giggled a little and looked out at Seth and Skipper playing in the lake. Taking my cover off I walked out into the water. The lake felt great. It wasn’t too cold and felt amazing when I finally went all the way in. Around four a car pulled up to the house and I watched from the porch as Casy got out.

“Hey, girl?” She yelled out. I walked off the porch and met her halfway. I had a shower before she showed up and left my long hair down with some curls. I had on my swimsuit under some shorts and a lightweight see-through shirt. I wanted to be ready to get out of here as soon as we were done. “You look great, Your hair is so unfair.” She said.

“Why?” I asked giggling.

“You know its almost to your ass.” I just nodded at her. Casy was a very pretty girl. She had blond hair that touched her shoulders and very large breasts. Something I wasn’t blessed with. Her body was much smaller than mine. Although I did have a butt on me. I always thought it was too big, but I guess that’s the thing now. Last year I got my belly button pierced for my eighteenth birthday. I don’t know why but I loved to show it off. We walked back over to my family who was packing the boat.

“You didn’t tell me you brought a friend?” My father said.

“Yeah, this is Casy, I hope you don’t mind?”

“No, not at all. Tell me Casy are you off to college after the summer?” I just looked at her and rolled my eyes.

“Yes sir, I’m going to New York.”

“There are very good schools in New York. I’m sure you will be very happy there.” Casy just smiled at him. She reached over and whispered in my ear.

“You never told me your father was a hottie.” I looked at her like she was nuts. “And your mother is a total babe.”

“Oh my god,” I said and playfully pushed her and we both started laughing. I guess I would call my father a handsome man. He was well built and took great care of himself. He was in his mid-forties with dark brown hair like mine and we both had golden eyes. My mother had lighter brown hair with hazel colored eyes and she too took very good care of herself. She still had a great body. I knew they were still hot for each other. I mean I didn’t want to know, but you notice things about your parents.

Dinner on the boat was good. Everyone was swimming but I didn’t want to get my hair wet. I stayed on the boat and I would have sworn that Casy was flirting with my father. I let it go and was ready to get out of here. My father finally started to head back to shore around seven that evening. Casy and I went up to my room, where we touched ourselves up and then headed out. I told my parents what we were doing and I thought for sure they were going to say something, but all I got was stay safe and have fun. My father gave me the security code and Casy and I took off.

Logans POV,

“Hurry up man,” James said behind me while he was holding the light for me. I was tinkering with the security box on the back of the house. I hated having a team. It was me and three other guys I had only met about four days ago. I was told they were some of the best. It was almost one in the morning and we had to get inside tonight. The system made a sound when I turned it off. The four of us stopped and just listened. The house was still dark and we had already drugged the dog. He was past out by the front door.

“It’s now or never,” Steven said. I nodded at them and we placed our masks on and headed right for the front door. I pulled out my lock breaker and started on the front door lock. I had it open within seconds and we went inside. I closed the door softly and the plan was to go into each room and bring the family out to the living room. Five of them, four of us. I had the job of the father and mother. The others went after the kids as I made my way into the master bedroom. I pulled out my gun and switched on the light.

“Time to wake up!” I yelled out and both of them sat straight up. Mr. Kincaid went to reach for something. I fired a shot. He looked at me and I just shook my head at him. “Move your asses down to the living room now.” As I said that a loud scream came for the other bedroom. “I suggest you do as your told so no one gets hurt.” They both got out of the bed and started to head down the stairs. I followed behind them with my gun on them. Once we were all in the living room I counted and found one of them was missing. I looked over at Nate. “Where is the other kid?”

“There was no one in the room,” Nate said. I looked back at Mr. Kincaid.

“Our daughter is off at a party.” Fuck, I said to myself.

“When is she coming home?”

“She is eighteen, she will come back when she wants.” He said to me. “Please, what do you want? I have money, I can give you a ton if you would please not hurt my family.” I just laugh at him.

“Now you care about your family Mr. Kincaid. Why didn’t you care when you were fucking the boss’s wife?” He didn’t say a word as we all heard the front door opening and watched as this beautiful girl walked in the front door.
