Hello!
If you're reading this, welcome to my first story here on Inkitt! (Like hell if people are going to read this...)
I will try to make this short as possible.
For a little insight, this story originated from an output that I created for my school. This is the English version of that since the output was written in Filipino, and I wanted to share it with all of you even though I'm still new to story writing.
For more context, this story in particular is often called a "dagli". In English, it is translated into "sketches" or a "sketch". A "dagli" is a type of literature that made its way to the Philippines as other countries also have these. The origin as to how the literature was introduced to the country is currently unknown.
Basically, a "dagli" is like a short story, but it's shorter than a short story (or at least those are what I prefer). There are a lot of debates as to how long should a "dagli" be and as to how it should be written, but in a nutshell, it is supposed to have a twist, and is supposed to "show a story" according to Eros Atalia, a dagli writer.
I translated the story into English and tweaked some bits here and there for people to understand it.
To be honest, the story might be trash since it's literally just an output for my Filipino subject, but I just wanted to start new so that in the future, I would be able to improve and write more genuine stories for people to read.
I want to write short stories first since I'm eager to share them with all of you! I'll be sharing a Tagalog/Filipino version of this story (the original story) for the people who know Tagalog (a little hesitant about this one though). After that, I'll be releasing a new story for more people to read!
I'm not expecting a lot of people to read it since I'm still new, but I'll try to make my stories enjoyable as possible. So sit back, relax, and read... my trashy story 🗿.
Welcome to the journey of my life... that's a little corny, whatever, thank you for reading .-.
