Harry Cromwell

I pulled up outside the house after a long day at the office. We had a big court case coming up and it was giving me a fucking migraine. All I wanted to do was spend time with my wife and daughter. I knew that they both had today off work and school and I wanted to surprise them. I know I can be a complete disco towards both of them at times. but I loved them both destroyed and would never let anything happen to them. I got out of the car closing the door expecting the driveway where the bell was my wife’s car? Had she been called in on an emergency on her day off? This would usually happen more often than she would like so I ignored the fact that her car wasn’t parked in the driveway. I unlocked the door of the house. ‘Amy see you in?’

No answer, strange she usually said when she was going out with her friends they usually planned ahead. I walked up the stairs ‘Amy where are you? This isn’t funny.’ I shouted looking in all of the rooms including the bathroom. I threw her door open and my anger rose. All of her clothes were gone, trainers. Shoes and school uniform fuck.

‘Anastasia honey are you here?’

No answer as I flew into our room fuck all of her belongings were gone. I called her mobile but it went through to voicemail. I left her a message asking her where the hell she was then I called Amile who picked up her phone. ‘Dad what’s wrong?’

Oh so she’s going to play this game is she?

‘Where’s your mother Amile?’

’I don’t know maybe she’’s at work. I haven’t seen her since this morning.’

‘Don’t lie to me young lady.’

‘I’m not. I haven’t seen her.’

’Now listen here you little slut out your whroe mother on the phone.

‘I knew you didn’t love me but I thought you loved my mother. I guess we were both wrong.’

‘I do love you Amy and I love your mother too.’

‘Bull shit you don’t call people you love insulting names.’

‘Where’s your mother Amile?’

‘I already told you I don’t fucking know I’ve not been at home since this morning.’

‘So where the fuck are you?’

‘At the devil’s den.’

‘You best not be lying or so god help you.’

‘Fuck you!’ She said cutting the call. Fuck fuck they can’t do this to me. I need to find out where they are.

‘Is everything okay, flower?’

‘It will be.’

‘Was that who I think it was?’

‘Yeah it was my father. I’m surprised you didn’t hear the horrible words that came out of his mouth.’

‘We did. What happened this time Amy?’

‘I .. I can’t tell you.’

‘You can trust us Amy we’re your family and that man has no fucking backbone.’

‘Promise this stays between us?’

I looked at Deon ah]nd he nodded. Then I looked back at her. ‘We promise flower, so what’s going on?’

‘We left him.’

Our eyes almost popped. ‘Are you sure that’s wise why if he finds you?’

‘He won’t. Both me and mom had had enough of his bull shit we’d spoke abotu it a few months back after what had happened with Antonio Bianchi we both agreed to do this but on one condition I finished highschool at all Saints High and we moved somewhere he wouldn’t find us.’

‘You’re brave.’

‘Or very stupid.’ Deon pipped in.

‘I’d say both. But, we’d both had enough of his gambling debts that could harm me or both of us. It was time to leave him behind and all the shit that followed him.’

Me and Deon both looked at one another knowing that the shit was about to hit the fan and there was nothing that none of us could do about it.

‘We understand flower, we’ll always be here for you.’

‘Thanks for understanding Dan it means a lot.’

I smiled. ‘That’s what family I’d for.’ I said, hugging her. Let’s just hope she and her mother were safe if not from Dom from her father. He was unpredictable and a fucking fruit loop but so was Dom but he was on a differnet par than Harry he was a fucking beast you didn’t fuck with, ever.

Beau

I couldn’t believe my ears how could he talk to his own daughter like that now I understood why she went to “the devils den” she wanted to vent out all her anger, frustration and loneliness she was going there to feel something other than abandonment but a feeling of closeness that Dan and Deon had given her I just felt sorry for her when she finally gets to know the truth.

I called Lucien now I knew that he had no part in their leaving just the opposite they were leaving to get away from him. ’I used my Bluetooth to connect to his. ‘Beau.’

‘Boss.’

’Please tell me you have good news.

‘I certainly do. Mr. Cromwell returned home a half hour ago to find that his wife and daughter were gone. It was quite an interesting conversation between father and daughter.’

‘I’m on my way.’ He said disconnecting the call.

I waited for around an hour. He pulled up getting out the car, striding over to mine getting in. ‘Show me what you’ve got.’

I grinned going into my recordings pressing play.

“Dad what’s wrong?”

“Where’s your mother Amile?”

“I don’t know maybe she’s at work. I haven’t seen her since this morning.”

“Don’t lie to me young lady.”

“I’m not. I haven’t seen her.”

“Now listen here you little slut out your whroe mother on the phone.”

“I knew you didn’t love me but I thought you loved my mother. I guess we were both wrong.”

“I do love you Amy and I love your mother too.”

“Bull shit you don’t call people you love insulting names.”

“Where’s your mother Amile?”

“I already told you I don’t fucking know I’ve not been at home since this morning.’

“So where the fuck are you?”

“At the devil’s den.”

“You best not be lying or so god help you.”

“Fuck you!”

I stopped the recording and grinned. ‘I’ll send this to Dom right away and well done Beau.’

I smiled. ‘So did you find out where they were?’

I did. Her mother is really crafty and he’ll never find them. They are safe, if you’re not looking for the place you’ll never find it.’

I nodded.

‘Let’s take a trip to the devils den.’ He said, smirking.
