BLACK.

WE HEAR NOTHING.

TOTAL DARKNESS AND SILENCE UNTIL-

INT. DARK ROOM #1

Frank’s eyes open as he sits up immediately.

He is on a white mattress in a room covered in darkness.

FRANK

What the hell?

INT. DARK ROOM #2

Marshall sits up, looking around him, only to see total darkness.

He is on a mattress as well.

INT. DARK ROOM #3

Trevor sits up and looks around himself- searching his surroundings, only seeing darkness.

He sits on the mattress.

INT. DARK ROOM #4

Jim sits up and slowly stands up, looking around the darkness surrounding him.

JIM

Well, shit.

INT. DARK ROOM #5

Hamilton opens his eyes and touches his chest, ensuring he isn’t dreaming.

He sits up slowly, seeing the darkness around him.

HAMILTON

At last...

INT. DARK ROOM #1

Frank stands up, analyzing the area.

He squints his eyes, seeing a door a small distance away.

Frank slowly walks to it, opening it. Frank sees only darkness in the doorway. He sees through the door.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #4

Jim walks through a doorway, similar to Franks, he steps into a dark hallway filled with six doors on his left and right with a door in the center of the end of this hallway.

He analyzes this room, confused.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #2

Marshall observes the first door on his left, noticing its grousing, rusted material.

He opens the door, and slowly walks inside.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #3

Trevor observers the first door on his right, noticing its grousing, rusted material.

He opens the door, and slowly walks inside.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #5

Hamilton observes the second door on his left, noticing its grousing, rusted material.

He opens the door and slowly walks inside.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #4

Jim observes the second door on his right, noticing its grousing, rusted material. He opens the door and slowly walks inside.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #1

Frank slowly steps to the center of the dark abyss of eerie plague, analyzing the doors.

We begin to hear a menacing laughter emit from the door at the end of the hallway.

Frank quickly turns to glare at the door, hearing this unceasing laughter.

It grows and grows until we see the light above Frank, that allows him to see the doors, then the light goes off.

Nothing, only darkness.

Frank breaths heavily, afraid.

We see a flame brighten in front of his face; he is holding a lit match to see where he is.

He moves around analyzing the room with the flames light, trying to find the doors--

--they are gone.

FRANK

What the hell?

INT. MEMORY ROOM #2

Marshall slowly walks inside another dark room; inside we see a wall covered in digital static. This is a T.V. He steps to it, and sees a small stool with a remote on it.

He observes it, there is a piece of tape on the remote that says

“play me”.

He grabs it.

INT.MEMORY ROOM #3

Trevor lifts the remote to him, standing in a room exactly like the one Marshall did.

Trevor presses the play button, and the static stops.

We see the T.V. show an old video- this is one of many memories of Leonard Conroy.

The video shows kids playing in a playground, happily.

Little eight-year-old Leonard trips over a small pillar connected to the monkey bars.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #4

Jim stands in the same room as the others, watching the T.V.

Only instead of a memory of Conroy as an eight-year-old, it’s a memory of Conroy’s first date with a girl at the park during his teenage years.

We hear Conroy and this girl, Kelly, talking.

TEEN CONROY

You look really lovely today.

She opens a picnic basket and smiles.

TEEN KELLY

Thank you, that’s so sweet.

TEEN CONROY

I mean, for a spring date, yunno, not bad.

She smiles and punches his arm.

TEEN KELLY

Fuck you.

They both begin to unload the condiments in the picnic basket; such as ketchup, ham, cheese, mustard, napkins, and nacho chips.

They lay them on the blanket that they are sitting on, smiling at each other.

She begins to make a sandwich, but Conroy stops her.

TEEN CONROY

Whoa, babe, wait. You shouldn’t have to do anything; I can make the sandwiches and you just talk your pretty little head off, okay?

She blushes.

TEEN KELLY

You don’t have to do that.

TEEN CONROY

I insist.

Jim continues watching this, trying to understand who lived this life.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #5

Hamilton walks into the dark room, only there isn’t a T.V., just a watch laying on a stool. Hamilton walks to it and gently grabs a hold of it, staring at it.

He runs his fingers along the glass of the watch, as if he is seeing an old memory that calls him. He looks around him, as if trying to find someone, or something, that could have placed the watch here.

He turns to look at the watch in his hand and it is suddenly gone, disappeared from his grip!

He looks in front of him to see a cloaked figure in the distance dark, this figure is watching him.

After a moment, the figure steps back, disappearing in the darkness.

Hamilton looks at this, puzzled, and slowly begins to go in the direction same as the figure.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #1

Frank still holds the lit match in front of him, trying to see.

He walks forward, hoping to find a door or anything to continue his search within the curious consciousness.

He stumbles upon an open doorway.

He analyzes the doorway, noticing it leads to a stairway.

He shakes the match, causing the flame to disappear, and he steps in the doorway.

INT. KELLY’S HOUSE, 10 YEARS AGO- NIGHT

22-Year-old Conroy inside the house and sees Kelly inside her room.

He walks towards her room.

INT. KELLY’S ROOM, 10 YEARS AGO- NIGHT

Conroy steps inside and sits beside Kelly, who appears to have been crying.

YOUNG ADULT CONROY

Hey, Kelly, I came as soon as I heard. You okay?

She sniffles, wiping her nose.

KELLY

Yeah, I’m okay.

He rubs her shoulder in reassurance.

YOUNG ADULT CONROY

Please don’t lie to me......

Kelly looks at her feet, wiping a tear from her eye.

KELLY

You didn’t have to come here...

YOUNG ADULT CONROY

I didn’t want you to be alone.

She begins to lay on his shoulder, trying to hide her tears.

KELLY

W-why him though?...

YOUNG ADULT CONROY

Shh shhh. Kelly don’t hurt yourself like this, remember what I told you.

Kelly pulls away from his shoulder, looking into his eyes.

YOUNG ADULT CONROY

To hurt yourself is to let yourself down.

He smiles, trying to reassure her, gently holding her hand to let her know she isn’t alone.

We notice a ring around his ring-finger.

INT. KELLY’S ROOM, 10 YEARS AGO- NIGHT

It is much later in the night, Kelly is laying on the bed, with covers over her.

Conroy is standing at her window, staring outside without a shirt on.

He looks as if he is disappointed at himself.

He looks at the ring on his finger, we notice the makeup covered figure in the corner of the room.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #2

Marshall presses the pause button, pausing the memory being played on the T.V.

He analyzes the figure in the corner.

MARSHALL

What in the...?

Suddenly, the T.V.s light disappears.

We only see darkness.

A light appears in a short distance from him, showing a door.

He slowly walks to the door, opening it, he sees it is an exit back to the hallway of doors.

He steps out of this room.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #3

Trevor is still watching the T.V., we see a different memory on the screen.

This memory is one of Conroy at school.

He is walking toward Kelly; they are in high school as teens.

INT. HIGH SCHOOL, 23 YEARS AGO-DAY

Conroy walks to Kelly; they smile at each other. She stands at her locker.

TEEN KELLY

Hey.

TEEN CONROY

Hey, beautiful.

TEEN KELLY

I had a great time at your house last night.

TEEN CONROY

My dad didn’t give you a hard time?

TEEN KELLY

No, not at all.

She giggles.

TEEN KELLY (CONT’D)

He’s sweet.

TEEN CONROY

Oh, so you have a crush on him now?

She laughs as he smiles at his joke.

TEEN KELLY

Hell no.

Conroy kisses her forehead.

TEEN KELLY

Besides, he wasn’t the highlight of the night.

She blushes a bit, rubbing his arm with her hand. He smiles slowly, knowing what she’s talking about.

TEEN CONROY

Oh.

TEEN KELLY

I really had fun.

TEEN CONROY

I had fun too.

TEEN KELLY

I don’t wanna go home.

Conroy rubs her cheek with the back of his hand.

TEEN CONROY

Wanna go to our spot?

She smiles, holding her books close to her chest.

TEEN KELLY

Mhm.

TEEN CONROY

I’ll meet you there after school.

Kelly kisses his cheek.

TEEN KELLY

Okay.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #3

Trevor presses the pause button, rubbing his chin in curious thought.

TREVOR

This doesn’t make any sense.

He looks at the T.V., then the lights disappear.

Total darkness. The lights reappear where the T.V. was, only instead of a T.V., it is a pistol and a key. Trevor steps into the light, confused and dazed.

He sees the key that lays on the opposite side of the light.

He slowly reaches down to grab the key.

He is kicked away from it- he whacks the ground hard as the cloaked figure, who kicked him, grabs the key and disappears in the darkness!

Trevor grabs the pistol and begins pulling the trigger in the direction of the cloaked figure!

Bullet’s blaze, but nothing is heard- meaning nothing was harmed by the bullets.

Trevor looks at the gun, seeing a piece of tape on the side of the glock.

It reads

“control is a weapon.”

He looks back into the darkness, holding the pistol hesitantly.

Another light shines in the short distance, he sees this is a doorway.

He exhorts himself to his feet, placing the pistol in the crease of his pants.

He slowly walks toward the doorway.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #4

Jim is watching a memory, similar to the one from his earlier sights.

This memory is one of Conroy and Kelly as teenagers; Conroy is walking Kelly home.

EXT. KELLY’S PARENTS’ PORCH - 27 YEARS AGO- NIGHT

Conroy walks Kelly to her parents’ house door.

She turns to him.

TEEN KELLY

Thank you for walking me home.

TEEN CONROY

It was nothing. Thank you for going to the movies with me.

TEEN KELLY

You wanna come in?

TEEN CONROY

Oh, no. I gotta get home.

TEEN KELLY

You sure? We got coffee.

TEEN CONROY

Oh, no. I appreciate it. But your parents wouldn’t like me staying over.

She rubs his hand with hers.

TEEN KELLY

... They’re not home.

TEEN CONROY

When will they be back?

TEEN KELLY

Monday.

Conroy grows quiet, Conroy doesn’t know what to say.

TEEN KELLY

Just stay one night.

TEEN CONROY

You mean like a sleepover?

She smirks, shaking her head. Conroy realizes what she’s gesturing.

TEEN CONROY

Sure. I’ll stay.

She smiles opening the door, they step inside the house.

The door shuts behind them.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #4

Jim pauses the video feed, and analyzing the memory.

He sees something in front of the house, a man in white and red makeup.

JIM

What the-

Pale hands wrap around his jaw, forcing him to struggle!

Someone holds him strongly, he grabs at cold, menacing hands- trying to set himself free.

He elbows the figure away; as he steps to run, we see the white shade of makeup on the figure. The figure pulls out a knife and lunges it into Jim’s jugular!

Jim coughs and gargles on his blood, this horrifying sight lasts several moments.

Then the makeup figure rips the knife out of Jim’s jugular, Jim falls back hitting the floor hard.

He is dead. The figure stands, hovering above the body, running his thumb along the bloody blade of his knife.

He drops the knife beside the body, then walks away.

EXT. SMALL HOUSE, BASEMENT EXIT-FRANKS MEMORY- NIGHT

Frank steps up a small stairway, to see the side of his house.

He looks at this, startled, and confused.

INT. SMALL HOUSE, KITCHEN ENTRANCE- FRANKS MEMORY- NIGHT

Frank opens the door, stepping inside his kitchen, cautiously.

He walks past the small table.

Then the sink.

Then the fridge.

He stops at his deceased girlfriend, Amy, who in smiling at him.

He continues gazing at her, not ignoring his feelings. She reaches her hand out to him.

He rushes past the dining room, into the living room to grab her cheek in gentle affection- and she disappears.

He stops where she stood, almost as still as the grave, tearing up.

He stumbles to his knees, flabbergasted and trying to understand what just happened.

As he weeps in sadness, we see and hear the basement door open within the dining room.

Frank turns to look at the basement entrance, he stands.

He slowly walks to the basement entrance, weeping inside.

INT. MEMORY ROOM #5

Hamilton runs in the dark, searching for the mysterious figure be saw before.

He appears to have been running for a decent amount of time.

He beings to slow down, exhaling heavily.

HAMILTON

What the fuck......

Static appears behind him- a T.V. screen preparing for another memory.

He turns to it, seeing a remote laying on a stool.

He grabs it, seeing a piece of tape on it that reads

“know your sins.”

He analyzes the remote the play button has a smeared blooded thumbprint on it.

He presses play, then puts the remote in his jacket pocket.

The T.V.’s static turns into a memory.

But not of Conroy-

-of Hamilton’s.

Hamilton sees, in this memory, what appears to be him holding an injection needle, walking toward Conroy, who lays unconscious on his own bed.

Hamilton is injecting a liquid substance inside of Conroy’s arm!

Hamilton backs away seeing this memory- frightened of seemingly wrong doing.

HAMILTON

My god....

He turns to face a duplicate of himself! This one smiles, looking at the real Hamilton.

HAMILTON DOPPELGANGER

You did this.

HAMILTON

W-what?

HAMILTON DOPPELGANGER

You put everyone here. Innocent people. Now......

Hamilton’s doppelganger begins to laugh and cackle similar, almost exact, to the laugh we heard earlier.

HAMILTON DOPPELGANGER (CONT’D)

... You’re all gonna die.

Hamilton backs away as we see his doppelganger raise his head into the darkness above them, as if it is the sky, and laughs maniacally!

Hamilton runs to run and trips over the stool!

He falls to the ground; he turns to see his doppelganger- gone.

The laugh fades away in the distance, fearfully echoing in the dark of this abyss.

A light flicks on from above him to show Frank trip over Hamilton!

As he hits the ground, Hamilton sees his face.

HAMILTON

Frank?

Frank looks at Hamilton, recognizing his voice.

FRANK

Jeremiah?

They both stand, looking at each other.

HAMILTON

Goddamn, am I glad to see you.

FRANK

Where’s everyone else?

HAMILTON

You tell me. You’re the first I’ve seen since we’ve been here.

FRANK

You’ve gotta be kidding me.

HAMILTON

I found this.

Hamilton reaches in his pocket, showing Frank the remote.

Frank grabs it, seeing the smear of a blood print on the remote.

FRANK

Oh god.

HAMILTON

What?

FRANK

Blood...

They stare at the remote.

HAMILTON

Whose blood?

FRANK

That’s what frightens me. We need to find whoever got hurt.

HAMILTON

You really think someone’s hurt?

FRANK

I hope their only hurt. They’re probably already dead.

A doorway appears in front of them.

They look at each other, then look at the doorway.

FRANK

We need to hurry.

They rush to the doorway, exiting the room.

INT. DARK HALLWAY #2

Marshall steps out of the Memory Room he was in, analyzing the doors in the hallway.

He is unsure of which door to go to next.

The light flickers as we hear an eerie laughter emit from the door at the end of the hallway.

The room goes black. After a moment we see a light shine in the center of the room.

Laying on the ground, is the body of Amy, the girl from before.

Her eyes remain open, as if her neck was forcibly snapped.

He stares at the body, recognizing her, as if knowing he caused this body to remain dead.

He crouches to his knees and holds her neck to check for a pulse, due to his instincts.

She grabs his shirt by the collar, pulling him close to stare into one another’s eyes.

AMY

You... you did thi... this...

Marshall loses his breath, in panic.

MARSHALL

I-I didn’t mean to......

She coughs up blood, we see it splatter on Marshall’s face!

AMY

T..This is... This is your fault...

She falls back to the ground, deceased. Marshall stares at her body.

AMY (V.O. )

Why... why did you kill me....

The light flickers on and off, as the light goes off and back on- she disappears from the ground! Marshall stands, looking at both ends of the hallway.

We see the blood isn’t on him anymore, as if it never was on him in the first place.

We see he is in front of the door at the end of the hallway.

The maniacal laugh is loud and near, emerging from the door in front of him.

He steps back, trying to avoid it.

EERIE VOICE (V.O.)

There is no escape. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Nowhere to avoid the remorse.

Marshall looks around him to see blood spread on the ground.

We see Frank holding Amy’s body in a short distance to Marshall, who slowly steps to them.

Frank is crying.

EERIE VOICE (V.O., CONT’D)

No way to forgive yourself. No possible way to hide from who you are.

Frank turns over, smiling psychotically. Frank speaks, but with every word we hear the eerie voice!

FRANK (W/ EERIE VOICE)

You are the killer. You’re no different from your brother.

Marshall turns to see a pale man in front of him, his brother, covered in blood.

Marshall jumps back startled, falling on the ground.

MARSHALL

No.......

EERIE VOICE (V.O.)

Yes......

His brother is gone.

Marshall looks at the blood on the floor that he is sitting on, frightened.

EERIE VOICE (V.O., CONT’D)

Know your sins, Marshall.

Marshall tries to crawl away from the blood, only to place his hand on a rusted knife.

He looks at it, not removing his hand from it.

EERIE VOICE (V.O. CONT’D)

Accept your sins, Marshall.

Marshall stands holding the knife, looking at the reflection of the blade.

He sees his brother, not himself.

EERIE VOICE (V.O. CONT’D)

Become your sins, Marshall.

His eyes twitch as he breaths unbearably.

He forcibly places the blade alongside his face, cutting deep!

Without hesitation, he tears cut on the side of his face, as well as across his cheeks and nose, screaming!
