After the nuclear war, the earth became a barren wasteland. Major cities and people are wiped out of existence. You and your son hide in a bunker for several months, but after several months you have to come out as you are short on food and can't let you and yourself die of starvation. You are one of the few serious people who want to rebuild the world. After thousands of years of nuclear war, there was nothing to live on. There is nothing you can do now, and you decide that maybe living in some small town somewhere with your son might be better than being completely alone all the time. You look for someplace quiet that nobody knows about and hope to find a small farming community. The only problem is that it's not that easy.
You walk around for hours trying to find something, but you're just as lost as everyone else.
Following that, Looking for several hours, you quit looking and find shelter in an abandoned building. You go inside. It looks like someone had lived here before, but everything is destroyed, do you think it is safe to stay there for a night. When you get back to the car, you find that your son is missing. He's nowhere near the abandoned house or the car where he fell asleep.
You panicked and started crying, but then you heard the sound of crying. You began to look in the direction of the noise. You'll find him. He was curled up in a ball in a corner of the building, and you went to him and picked him up. You hold him close and rub his back, trying to calm him down.
"Shhh... shh... it's alright." You sing softly in his ear.
The night was approaching. You thought the night was beautiful and peaceful but didn't know about the dangers of the world. The sun would rise soon, and you would still be lost. Maybe if you were lucky, you'd find some help.
The sun rises and it's time to leave. Your priority is to find food for the young one, who will need food more than anything else at the moment. You make your way through the city streets and look everywhere you can see for some kind of sign of edible plants and fruit, but it seems too hopeless. After looking for what feels like forever, you finally find some canned beans in an abandoned shop. You pick them up and bring them to the boy. He wakes up and sees the cans.
"What are those?" He asks curiously while holding one of the cans.
They're food. We have to eat them, okay? "
He doesn't look convinced but decides to eat anyway.
You found a group of people and introduced yourself. They seemed nice enough, but they said that they needed to move. That's when you asked if you could come with them because you had no idea how long it would take you to find a place called "home." They seemed hesitant at first, but eventually gave you their names and invited you to join them. You were very grateful and joined their caravan. You didn't know much about life, but you knew that you didn't want to be by yourself anymore...
When We arrived at their camp, I was warned by the authorities about the outlaws. They have a base on the outskirts of town, directly across from where we were.
Suddenly a beautiful lady entered the room , and my heart skipped a beat.
She approached me and held out her hand.
" She had black curly hair and a beautiful smile.
"I'm Clara, welcome to our camp." she said warmly.
I took her hand and shook it firmly.
"Thank you so much for letting me stay here."
I introduced my son to her. Her eyes widened and she exclaimed, "Hello!"
He sent her a shy smile and hid behind me.
Clara kneeled and put her hands on top of his head and stroked his soft hair.
"My name is Clara. What's yours?"
"Barry." he replied quietly.
Clara smiled brightly at him, "That's a very pretty name Barry!"
After getting some dinner, we decided to sleep.
In the morning I was woken up by the screaming. Outlaws! Outlaws! Outlaws... Someone was screaming outside the tent! I ran out of the tent and saw that everyone else was also awake.
Everyone except my son.
I looked for my son, and I noticed that he wasn't even in the tent. I started running frantically through the camp.I saw a group of people gathered around a kid lying on the ground. My heart stopped when I realized that it was my little angel. I ran over to him and knelt next to him, holding him close and shaking him violently.
" Barry! Wake UP!"
There was blood coming out of his mouth, and there were large chunks of flesh missing from his stomach. There was no point in checking for a pulse because it wouldn't matter. Barry was dead. I cried for several minutes and then looked up.
I will take revenge on every single person responsible for this.
