What a story!
I believe that the sentence “A few nails and painting, my ass! I need an exorcist!” was one of the best pieces of dialogue I ever read. I simply loved the beginning of this story. The premise is mind-blowing. I couldn’t wait to learn about the demons – what they’re going to be like, whether they’ll have human qualities and which ones...
The world-building is extraordinary. So much so, that I could feel the joy of discovering the beauty of an old house with the main character. I liked the relationship progress of the main couple very much. It wasn’t forced, I could understand why they’re drawn together, it is beautifully done.
What seemed a little off to me were a few moments that I was struggling to comprehend. For example, when the main character announced that there were demons in her house to the whole community or when the big villain transformed into a good guy, then into a bad angel and a good angel. Those were great plot twists, for sure, but if more elaborated, it would be easier for the reader to follow them.
