Opinons on "A Modern Nebuchadenezzer"

Let me begin by saying this review that dream sequences are my absolute favorite thing to read and write about. Josh does this particular dream sequence very, VERY well; right out of the gate the entire scene is fantastical, and the main character is already fully aware that he is in a dream.

This dream touches down on the main character very well, as it subtly hints and shows very pivotal points in his life, as well as his view on things, especially with an entity that has apparently been a part of the main character's life for some time now. The pacing is very well done in my honest opinion, as is the scene with the girl that the main character see's. The dream itself also shifts subtly into a more darker area of the main characters life; but only as a teaser, and that teaser is as brief as a breath but it's powerful.

All in all, really enjoyed it!

My Opinions of 'The Disturbing Account of Kazama Godai"

*Spoilers within*

I really enjoyed the entire story, the horror element was very well done; atmosphere is key in these types of works and you nailed it perfectly. It slowed down a bit too much in my opinion during Kazama's recovery, but I can understand why as it explains some much needed information what he did with the items he found within the home. The most powerful and outright scary part was in the chapter: "Kazama's Final Account', in which his wife is having their child and the spirit he met in the house says: "It's my birthday today father'; man that sent shivers down my spine!
