Superb!

This is by far the most professional and well executed novel I have had the privilege of reading on this site so far. The author is clearly very well educated on his topic and meticulous in the weaving together of both fact and fiction to create a truly remarkable story. The author has painstakingly crafted his novel in wonderfully cinematic detail, allowing the reader to be swept along with the story and experience everything from the musty offices of an academic to the breathtaking sunset over the Marmara Sea as though experienced first hand at his character's side. This was truly a wonderful read and recommended for anyone looking for a wonderfully crafted well researched story. This one is definitely going in my Favorites list. :)

Good Start

This story has a lot of potential but needs a lot of time and attention and development to really make it shine. It definitely has a Bollywood feel to it and you definitely get a sense for the culture, which makes this story unique and interesting. Overall the story has a good foundation but it still needs a lot of "polishing" and a thorough editing to really bring it to its full potential. Good start, though. Well done!

Interesting Start

Interesting start to the story. It's a little light on the necessary details that really make a story shine, but I enjoyed the premise of the plot. I feel like there is a lot more left to be told, not just in the story itself, but also about the characters and their backstory that brought them to where they are now. It makes me want to keep reading in hopes of finding the answers. Well done! Great start to a very interesting young adult novel.

Awesome!

Wow! I really liked this story. I was hooked from the moment I started reading and had a hard time putting it down! Well done with the plot. It was well paced and kept me hanging on, desperate to learn more about the relationship between angels, fallen angels, demons, and the main character. The story still needs some editing and further development and "fleshing out" in order to really bring it to its fullest potential and iron out a few plot wrinkles, but overall I was very pleased with this story. Well done! I can't wait to see what you come up with next. :)

Lights in the Night

I was pleasantly surprised by this story. As a self-proclaimed student of the paranormal and unexplained, I'm always looking for an entertaining novel on those subjects and inwardly cringe when such stories prove superficial or lack proper research and development to make them believable. That was not the case with this story. The details of "real life" and the "what ifs" of the unknown were wonderfully woven together to create a thoroughly entertaining read. At times the overuse of the Oxford comma in some areas and the under use of it others was a little jarring but a little bit of editing and revision could easily fix that. Otherwise, it was a wonderfully entertaining and humorous story. Thank you for sharing! Good luck with everything and happy writing!

WOW!

I am absolutely loving this story!! Currently there are only 13 chapters up for review, but these are by far the best 13 chapters I have read on Inkitt thus far. I am absolutely enthralled by this story. The writing is nearly flawless and the pacing is perfect. The differences between the personalities of Sarah and Christina are beautifully striking and the complex overlapping of their lives has me on the edge of my seat and waiting with bated breath to see what happens next. This is definitely one "Work in progress" I'm going to keep my eye on and continue reading as the author continues to upload new chapters. I can't wait to see what happens next! Well done!!

Way Cool

This is an awesome story. I loved it. It captured my attention right from the first chapter and wouldn't let me go. I loved the witty sarcasm of the main character and she had me laughing on more than one occasion. The story itself still needs some further development and "fleshing out" in order to iron out some of the plot wrinkles and really bring it to its fullest potential. There were also some spelling and grammar issues throughout the story but they did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the story at all. I really, really enjoyed this novel and look forward to continuing the story. Well done!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

This is by far the best novel I have read on Inkitt to this date. I am absolutely blown away by the quality of this story! This is a masterpiece, beautifully crafted and flawlessly delivered. The plot is incredibly well developed, the characters are witty, well-rounded, and relatable, and the story-line is well organized and easy to follow. There were a few grammatical issues I noted and pointed out to the author using the Feedback tool, but they were few and far between and did not detract from the story in the slightest. (Thus, the author still earned his 5 stars for his technical writing skills). It is clear that the author has put in the time and effort necessary to create a truly developed, wonderful, well-rounded story. Kudos and Well Done! CZ Hillam, you've earned yourself a fan. :)

Reads Like A Children's Book

Maybe it was just me, but I didn't get it. For the most part the story reads like a children's book, full of vibrant descriptions of fantastical places and light child-like banter between siblings. The author does a wonderful job in setting the scene and making you feel as though you are about to embark on this wonderful journey across the snow covered mountain peaks with the characters.

However, as I progressed further into the novel the overall plot of the story was lost on me, the driving mysticism too vague to follow or make sense of. Did Oliver really lose all of his family during the trip over the mountain only to have one sister magically resurrected at the end? Or was it all some sort of fantastical hallucination on his part? Nothing added up in the end and none of the reader's questions were answered. I'm more than a little confused by what I just read. I can't make heads or tails of it. But maybe that's just me. Maybe I missed something. I'm not quite sure.

Well Done!

This novel is very well done. Right from the start the author pulls you into this world of misguided teenagers getting tangled up a complex criminal world much bigger than they are. The author's writing style is imaginative and detailed. You can almost feel the chill in the air and the rain on your face as you follow her characters through the dark and dampened streets of the city and she accurately captures the inner angst of an immature and irrational teenager with anger issues. I truly enjoyed reading this story. Well done!

The Lost Souls of Gilford Falls

Beautiful story of love, community, and long lost family. You can't help but fall in love with the characters and the sense of community within the story is so strong, you almost wish you were part of it. The story needs some "cosmetic editing" such as putting quotation marks in the right place to show when characters are speaking and starting a new paragraph whenever you switch speakers. Aside from that, it was a beautiful story and well worth the read.

Watered Down

Wow! What a ride! This story had me hooked from beginning to end. The story was well paced and had plenty of twists and turns I never saw coming. There were a few spelling and grammar issues, but they didn't distract from the story in the slightest. My only negative is that, compared to the pacing of the rest of the story, the ending seemed rather rushed and the fate of Armela and the other girls went left unsaid. Did they become human again? Did Serena finally get to meet the girl trapped in the fish? Or were Armela and the other girls still trapped in their fishy forms despite Alana's other spells unraveling and rectifying with her demise? This seems like a rather small oversight in the details of the story, but one that I noticed and think the reader would absolutely love if corrected. The devil is in the details, as they say, and adjusting the pacing of the last couple of chapters and filling in this hole would really help wrap up the story and bring it all together for a satisfying end. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this story. Well done!

Darkness Falls

Darkness Falls was a good story. It kept me hooked and reading until the end. There were a few grammar and spelling errors and the story itself could use some further development and "fleshing out", but overall it was a good story. Definitely a Young Adult novel that I'm sure many will enjoy.
