Your writing style and vocabulary is good. I really like your writing style but there are some things I would like to point out:
1. I don't know which place or time are the characters in. Although you depicted there condition very accurately but still I don't know where they live. How I should imagine there house or other things.
2. I have noticed that in 3rd and 4th chapter, paragraphs are too long. Nobody likes it. It feels like skipping them and then the reader might skip some important part.
