Surprised to see you here - anime and Harry Potter seem to "rule".
I really enjoyed this story, though I had to read it twice to really understand the crossover of 2k9 to TOS. It shows the brilliance of Spock in any timeline not to repeat an oversight. The boy woke up and got his Uhura in both timelines.
One thing: I'm not sure I understand what the guardian denied to Spock before he let him through the portal. If you ever revise this, that's the one small nit I have. But it doesn't really affect the strength of the plot or the writing.
