Stories!

Absolutely loved this short and sweet tale, or should I say, tales. I loved how there were two separate and very distinct stories happening simultaneously that complemented each other beautifully. Each serving as a respite from the other.
They may be two very different stories, but they’re written in such a way that there is no room for misunderstanding. You know which story you’re reading each time you’re reading them. I appreciated the clarity that even though they are two very distinct stories, the reason for them is clearly defined in the book as a whole. I just want more of it! I would have loved for some of the scenes to be drawn out further. Don’t rush. They’re both amazing stories that are both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Well done, author. Bravo!

Short and Sweet

A short and sweet book. this tale was enchanting and fun to read. While there could have been more development of the characters, the message was clear and it was written pretty well. Delilah's encounters with Jake, Rhys and Alex were all uniquely engaging and contributed well to the picturesque landscape of life on the farm no matter how luxurious it may have been. It is clear this author enjoys painting pictures for her readers and she has done just that. Well done author.

It has potential

This story as potential! The chapters are short and fairly quick to read.
The story itself is a fun read full of all kinds of crazy twists and turns. Nothing happens as you would expect it to happen.
The chapters read more like diary entries than a fully fleshed out novel, but if you enjoy that style then this book could be a fun read for you.
With some editing and review I think this could be a pretty fun book.
The potential is there!

BRILLIANTLY CREEPY!

This is a MUST READ!
Holy cow! I was hooked from the second I read the blurb. I read the entire story in one sitting! I just couldn't stop! It was fantastically creepy and felt so real. Your research was PHENOMENAL! Kerri was such a well-developed character that I had absolutely no problem believing that she's the anthropologist she claims to be! The premise was absolutely amazing and it worked so incredibly perfectly in the telling of this tale. I can't even express how blown away I am by this story. BRAVO!

A Chilling Nightmare

The description of this story had me hooked from the start. I truly enjoyed this writer's ability to leave us on the edge of our seats as he ended each chapter. I instantly wanted to flip to the next chapter to keep reading. Bravo!
There were some issues, but they were minor and easy to overlook because the story as a whole was very captivating. There were some gruesome and super scary horror moments, but they were woven into a storyline that was constructed very well, so they didn't seem too over-the-top, but it's a horror story, so there's plenty of gore for those of you that like that!
It was a truly chilling tale of nightmares and the things that haunt these characters.
Highly recommended reading for those of you that love a good horror story.

And Levi is a cool dude. Probably one of my favorite supporting characters yet!

Review of Ghost Letters

Ghost Letters is a series of letters written from the perspective of a teen looking at the way she observed her high school crush two years after the fact. Even though they never interacted in any real and tangible way, there was a deep connection that she felt for her crush and imagined that he had felt the same way but neither had acted on what she feels is that shared connection. I am sure many people have experience with unrequited love, or were too shy to act on a mutual crush. If you enjoy such stories, then you may enjoy this one! Well done, author!

Exquisite!

Wildflowers Sprout on the Battlefields is a beautifully written story that hooks from the first page. That entire first chapter was so captivating and masterfully written. I just wished that there was more to this story. Flashing back to her past helps the reader understand how she came to have such bravery and grit, and I’ll be waiting impatiently for updates so that hopefully this story comes full circle because that first chapter is WHOA! I am hopeful there will be updates so that we can all know how that first chapter came to be. Very well done, author!

Save Me Too!

Saving Piper is an erotic tale where love is blind and nothing is as it seems. There’s so much packed into this short tale that every single page will make you simply HAVE to know more. I simply love the fact that this story begins with you expecting one thing only to have that all flipped on its head by the end. It’s such a thrilling road trip that most definitely does not go at all how anyone would expect. If you’re a fan of erotic thrillers, this is the story for you.

Seriously Amazing!

This is such an adorable story of love at first sight. I was worried at first when he said he had a girl waiting for him because I’m not a fan of cheaters, so thank you sincerely, sincerely for allowing your readers to enjoy the love between Lille and Jaxen to be pure. As I’ve said, it is a short story, but the space you gave Jaxen to grieve and the natural flow of their learning each other and loving each other didn’t feel rushed at all. You managed to pack a punch into such a short tale. Well done, author. Excited to read more of your work in the future.

So Good!

Lovesick promises a romantic thriller where love is blinding. The first chapter is a doozie that will have you hooked and unable to resist turning the page to find out what the heck is going on. At this point, it is unfinished, but I will definitely be watching for the next chapters in this thrilling tale of love gone wrong. While this tale may remind you of stories you’ve read before, Holliefur has a way with words that lures you in and grabs you hook, line, and sinker. Definitely a must read for those that like romantic thrillers.

Having already read Spirit of Fire, I was super excited to get to read Luna’s backstory. For anyone that hasn’t read Spirit of Fire, you can read this one on its own. The author does a wonderful job of setting up the world for the readers to understand the Shadow Realm and how vastly different it is from Earth. I am a fan of this author. This storyline is original and refreshing and I will definitely be keeping tabs on all future stories! Author, make sure you just give this story another read through and clear up the repetitiveness of some of the descriptions and clear up some of the silly grammatical mistakes and this story is going to be better than it already is. Green Exchange Awards 2nd Place Poetry Genre

The Way I See It is a collection of poetry written from the perspective of its creator. The way this writer sees the world is clearly expressed within each poem of this collection. I have always believed that poetry is meant to be a form of expression — an outlet of sorts — for the writer, and this writer has done just that. The Way I See It is that expression and it is a simple, yet enjoyable to read. The rhymes of a few stanzas feels a bit forced at times and can make the word choice feel a bit awkward, but overall it was a good read. Well done, author.

Six Underground is a supernatural take on the classic good vs evil, but boy are the lines blurred in this story. I absolutely loved this story (read up through “Tempted”) and cannot wait to dive into the rest of it! This story allows you to really get to know the characters and their quirks before throwing you into the supernatural world going on around them all the time, and I am grateful for that. It is refreshingly well written and hooks you with every “turn of the page.” My only note is to give it another look through to make sure your expressions and phrasing are correct, but there are very, very few of these instances. Well done, author! I cannot wait to finish this story.

MVP round 3

This is a classic boy-meets-girl tale. And in this case, it is meant as a true compliment. It is refreshing to read a story that is age appropriate, easy to understand, clearly written, and just a sweet, sweet story. There are a few plot holes that need to be cleared up, some word choice issues, grammatical mistakes, and some scenes that need to be drawn out more, but with an edit and some expansion, this can be a truly wonderful story. It is already a great, great start that can only get better. This is honestly such a refreshing tale that is perfect for a younger reader. Thank you, author. Very well done.

MVP Round 2

This is such an interesting and unique take on the classic boy-meets-girl romance. I have never read a story with pieces from the cat’s perspective before. That was different in a way that I can appreciate for its creativity. It was refreshing to get such a removed take on the happenings, yet so invested in their own way. There were times where the story felt a bit slow moving. I think that is partly due to the way you started the whole story. Chapter one was a lot all at once, so I expected it to continue along that line, but it turned light hearted and moved a lot slower, so it was a bit of a shock in the opposite direction. Cute story and well written, though. Good job.

MVP Round 2

This is quite the adventure, I must say. I loved the fantastic world of elementals that you’ve build here; the new world they’ve created for themselves and the Shadow World they’re fighting to hold at bay. All the characters are well written and easily relatable, even their powers feel natural, so much a part of them that you don’t even questions when one throws fireballs and shoots water. Well done there. Just watch out for your descriptions. Sometimes it can get a little long-winded. The world is built so well that if you tighten up the wordage a bit, your action scenes won’t get lost. On a whole, very well done, author!

Last Chance - MVP Awards Review

This story will break your heart from page one and I wish I could say it will get better, but the love is there. It is real and tangible between the two men. Everything this couple goes through has you rooting for them the whole time. Their fight is such a real issue that so many couples face and I am so grateful that this story was told. Thank you for writing it. Without giving too much away, I wish things could have turned out differently, but the reality is… well, it’s real. Watch those tense changes. I’d recommend sticking to past tense so that those amazing and natural time jumps can continue to be as well done as they are. Keep up the great work, author! Well done!

This story has real potential! Even though the characters are mythical, they feel real and relatable. They have real strengths and weaknesses. The world in Wolf's Lullaby is east to picture and clearly described. There are some grammatical issues that the author needs to work on, but the story itself is a good one that made me want to keep reading to find out what happens next. Love this book!

If it wasn't for the Roadmap Awards I probably wouldn't have read this book. Westerns have never been my cup of tea - or shot of whiskey in this case. BUT! This is why I love these types of contests. I read books I wouldn't pick up on my own and a whole new world opens up. The Willow Rise Six is extraordinary! If you love westerns, give this book a read. It is action packed and full of grit and gristle that will leave you wanting more with each chapter. I absolutely loved how the author ended each chapter with a cliff hanger or a witty bit of writing. Reading the comments below each chapter confirmed what I was feeling: It is like reading a much awaited weekly installment of your favorite story. You can't wait to see what the characters do next. Charming

This tale has all the old world charm of an ancient tale of times long ago. While the language of the conversations can be a bit strange at times, the descriptions are wonderful and help the reader feel as though you have really been transported back into the past during an ancient war raging through the lands. It feels like a more adult version of Mulan. Making conversations feel real is no easy task, but I have faith that because this author has the potential to create a world that feels to real, the conversations can only get better from here. Keep it up author. Well done.

Holy Cow!

Twisted Fate is not what I expected at all when I started reading this book. One thing is for sure, the cover does not prepare you for what you'll read, but trust me, you won't want to put it down. Kermit will shatter you and Russel will give you a glimmer of hope. The themes are not for the faint of heart, but if you can handle the adult content (and a shattered heart) then this book is so worth the read. Have tissues handy and maybe a punching bag, too. So well done author. Wow, just wow.

A work of art

I have to admit that this book took me much longer to read than others here on Inkitt because it is quite the wordy piece of prose, but I am very glad that I did. It reads like the stories of old; back in the Victorian era when the words spun off the page and really made you listen. There is a sense of poetry about this dark and haunting tale. It is not your typical read, that is for sure, but if you give it a chance like I did, you won't be disappointed. Well done author.

so tragic but so good!

Broken Halos is such a tragic story full of heartbreak and tragedy. The characters have been through more than anyone would have thought possible and survived. The ranch and the family living there has become a safe haven for the broken and lost. The author has beautifully weaved in the flashbacks to some of their worst times with the present-day life at the ranch. While there are some issues with punctuation and grammar, the story itself is one that I would highly recommend for those who can handle the heavy themes presented throughout. This is not for the faint of heart. I would like to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, but enjoyed isn’t the right word for the weight of the two stories that have collided at the ranch. I did not want to stop reading. It most definitely captured my attention. Well done author.

This story has a lot of potential. The bones are there. It has the potential to be a fun story about a witch on her journey who meets all kinds of obstacles along the way; however, there were so many juicy bits that seemed to be missed opportunities to really enhance this story. Good story!

I'm a sucker for a good zombie story. I really enjoyed the story itself, but it was a bit hard for me to get past the grammatical issues. A cleanly written book makes for much easier reading. I'd be happy to provide more detailed feedback and pointers if you're interested. For example, any time you're using dialogue, every person gets their own paragraph and every speech should end with a comma inside the quotation marks: "There's a zombie over there," he said. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to read more of this story!
