So, you might be wondering, Inkitt is a 100% free platform where I can upload my stories, instantly get feedback among a community of millions of readers, and even get published one day?! Is Inkitt legit?!
It might seem too good to be true, but at Inkitt, our mission is to provide a place where we can discover talented writers and transform them into globally successful authors. This means providing a completely free place for writers from around the world to find a home for their stories, connect with like-minded people who share their passion for writing, and grow in their careers. So yes, Inkitt is legit, and we want to share with you exactly how to get started using it!
Inkitt is a completely free platform where anyone in the world can make an account and instantly submit their novels.
What should I do first?
Create an account with Inkitt. It’s easy! Go to Inkitt.com and hit the ‘sign up’ button. From there, you’ll open an account and choose a password.
I have an Inkitt account. Now what?
You can upload your story from a Microsoft Word Document via Inkitt.com, or you can write directly on the platform. The Inkitt Writers App will allow you to submit and edit your work from any location at any time! To download the app, click here: IOS or Android.
Stories submitted to Inkitt must be fiction, written in English, and legally belong to the author submitting. Once uploaded, your story will be evaluated by our quality assurance team to make sure it meets our community guidelines before it is published onto the platform. Our algorithm will then monitor the behavior of each person who opens your story on the app. You’ll receive the most pertinent, up to date analytics so you can track the success of your story.

Will I get a publishing deal?
You’ll need to be selected for a deal, and here’s how that works. Books on Inkitt are analyzed by an algorithm measuring over 1200 reader behaviors. We’ll analyze those reader patterns, and track engagement on your book to determine if it has bestseller potential. If so, we’ll be in contact.
Once you create your Inkitt account and upload your book, you’ve already started the process of getting selected for an Inkitt publishing deal!
