At Inkitt, it’s our mission to give authors an equal chance to succeed in the world of publishing. Part of that, is making sure each and every writer using our platform feels safe, secure and protected, especially when it comes to the stories they share with us.
We’re proud to let you know that we’ve increased our security to make sure all Inkitt books are safer than ever, and that we’ve developed stricter anti-plagiarism measures so that all authors have experts to refer to if they have questions about their work.
What if my book is plagiarized on Inkitt?
If you suspect that a book has been plagiarized on Inkitt, our team is here to help. You can email [email protected] with your concerns directly. We have a zero tolerance policy on plagiarism – copied works will be subject to our plagiarism review process where our team will complete an assessment of both works and reach a final decision on the books’ removal within 1 week of opening the case.
What if my book is plagiarized on another site?
Starting today, our in-house support team has launched their anti-plagiarism assistance program. Meaning, if you find your work plagiarized on another platform, you can contact [email protected], where you will be assigned a support agent who will guide you through the process of getting your book removed.
Inkitt’s support agents will share resources with you, offer advice and general education on the best methods for tackling these cases. This includes:
- Guidance on how to file a DMCA takedown notice.
- Help contacting the webmaster of the plagiarizing site.
- Professional answers and advice to your questions.
- In special cases, our team will help you liaise with offending websites to get your work removed.
Because of you, our active reading and writing community, we’re on our way to make Inkitt a safer space for everyone, one page at a time.
