Epic

If you like The Golden Seal, you MUST read this. However, don't even have to like Tomb Raider to enjoy it.

"Lilith's Scepter" it's a looong looong journey that our heroes have face, but it's totally worth it and that's exactly what makes it so special, because you have to get through this bittersweet journey with them. You get to feel their love, their pain, their excitement, their exhaustion and anger.....everything that happens to them hits you in the core.
The writer creates its own and original universe, full of mythological creatures and places, with so many different and detailed characters with their own and interesting parallel plots and motivations, and there are unexpected plot-twists that will make you unable to stop reading.

I can say you wouldn't feel the same after you read this exciting emotional roller-coaster. This it the kind of story that makes you feel that "emptiness" when you finish reading it, and not every professional writer or artist can achieve it.

More than a FanFic

I read it for the first time when I was just 14 years old (that's 10 years ago) and I still keep my precious printed copy. However, every time I read it I feel the same. You get SO involved emotionally with the characters and story because you truly recognize Lara, you know her....it's HER.

It isn't "another fanfic" full of fanservice without any deep story, atmosphere, detailed characters and witty comments like The Golden Seal has. It's well written and you can see the effort in the detailed descriptions thanks to historical and mythological information or geographical facts the writer provides us. In addition it respects and continues the original storyline from The Angel of Darkness perfectly (you can confirm it if you read about what Core Design had intended for the AoD trilogy)

That's why, in my mind and in my heart, The Golden Seal will be always what really happened to my beloved heroine.

Thanks Ana ;)
