I loved, “Ever had someone stand too close on a train or bus, not breaking any rules, but just ruffling your hair with their breath?” and “like a graphic loss of limbs – make sure the audience has lived in those pieces before they’re lost.” Excellent points to keep in mind. ]]> Comment on How to Write an Emotive Family Drama: Bring the Pain (and the Love) by Cy Young https://writersblog-backend.inkitt.com/writing-an-emotive-family-drama/#comment-2444 Sat, 28 Nov 2020 18:05:22 +0000 https://degfhkjgfjhf.inkitt.com/?p=7252#comment-2444 How about the first line of my play, “Jump I’ll Catch You,” published by Samuel French. Hi Evgenie,

There is no maximum level of words. For the minimum it needs to be of novel size, so between 20,000 and 80,000 words, but as I said it can also be 120,000 or 250,000 words if you’d like.

Best,
