Bobo and Daisy
Bobo and Daisy
Once there was a cub, his name was Bobo. He was a really lazy cub with honey-brown fur and sleepy eyes. Bobo only liked to sleep, eat, and occasionally he played with his best friend Daisy. Daisy was a little girl with blonde hair and cheerful eyes. Everywhere she went she laughed.
One afternoon when Bobo was napping under a tree, he heard Daisy call for him. “Bobo! “Where are you?,” she called. And when she reached the tree she saw Bobo and shouted cheerfully, “There you are Bobo!” She took a seat right next to him on the grass and looked down at him smiling. The wind blew gently and the grass and trees swayed into a dance.
“Are you here to play today?,” Said Bobo, the lazy cub. Daisy grinned wide and her eyes crinkled with glee, “Yes, we’re going on an adventure! An adventure in the ocean!” She spread her arms wide, “ My mom told me the ocean is bigger than this! Soooo big that we haven’t explored it all!”
Bobo looked at her in confusion and sat up, his paws in his lap, “But we don’t live near the ocean, so how are we going to explore it?” Daisy giggled before saying, “ Don’t be silly Bobo. We can explore it, we just have to use our imagination. First we imagine the ocean, it is big and blue, with lots of fish!” Bobo looked at her with excitement, “ It has rocks, sand, and turtles! We can imagine being scuba divers! Maybe we can see a shark! Daisy clapped her hands with agreement, “ let’s wear shiny scuba gear and those fish shoes that are flat on the end. We can’t forget the goggles either!
Bobo and Daisy laid back onto the grass and closed their eyes. With their eyes closed they saw a whole different world, an underwater world. They were swimming in the ocean and fish surrounded all around them. Daisy looked up and saw the light from the sun peek through the waves and the turtles swim above them. “Look Daisy, I see starfish in the sand!, “ Bobo pointes to the sand beneath them, to the starfish dancing on the sand beneath them.
All day Bobo and Daisy swam. They danced with the fish, rode on the dolphins, and played with the whales. And when the sun started to go down, they opened their eyes and left the underwater world. The sinking sun’s light gleamed onto the surroundings and casted shadows. When the sun finally went away and the moon came out, the fireflies frolicked and the crickets chirped. Bobo and Daisy giggled out into the night until both had to go home. “See you tomorrow Bobo!,” Said Daisy, she hugged Bobo and ran home into her parents arms. She told them of her adventure with Bobo and her parents listened happily. Bobo went home too, he plopped down onto his bed and slept. The lazy cub had had enough fun for the night.
