Chapter 1
"You guys know what to do, right?” Mike whispers to his two conspirators, Luke and Tom. This was going to be a blast! Never have they been able to pull anything of this magnitude off, but tonight! Tonight would be the night. It was all planned out!
They decided they would all play a prank on their girlfriends tonight. How could they resist pranking the girls on Halloween?
First step was getting the girls drunk enough to not notice they would be heading to a different part of town. Then they would pretend their tire blew and couldn’t call for help. Then, they’d just have to convince the girls going inside was the only way!
“I got all the stuff in the bag,” Luke smirks with pride. He packed an old voice recorder that will play a creepy girls voice and leave it in one of the rooms. He also packed a trick candle that will flicker on and off. He even got some fake blood and fake body parts! It was gonna be epic. All he had to do was slip away while everyone was busy.
“And I got the booze,” Tom cheers. He couldn’t wait to get the girls drunk, so he may have bought more than was necessary… But who cares? No one is gonna get hurt, and it’s all in good fun! What could possibly happen?
“Woo-hoo! Let the good times roll, boys,” Mike yells as they approach the girls waiting for them in front of Chelsea's apartment. She was Mike’s girl. And he could tell, she was completely ready for a good time.
The girls were all dressed to kill, because they were told they were going clubbing tonight. Little do they know, the guys had other plans, Mike smirks to himself.
“Hey babe, you look smokin’ hot!” Mike tells her as he leans down to steal her lips. Her lips were so sweet, he just couldn’t get enough of them… Even before the party started.
She giggles up into the kiss. “Thanks baby, you're not looking so bad yourself!”
Luke sneaks up behind Anna and nuzzles her neck. “Hey, beautiful; you ready for some fun?” He whispers into her ear, making her shiver in anticipation.
“I am if it means you have your hands all over me, sexy,” she winks up at him.
Tom pulls Mary into his arms, “Look at my gorgeous girl, all ready for a night of dancing?” He asks her against her lips.
“You bet, babe,” she answers in a sigh. She loved being held in his arms, it was a total turn on and just thinking about grinding on him tonight…
Luke opened up the doors to his Jeep Grand Cherokee, “Everybody pile in and let's roll!”
Everyone squeezed into Luke’s baby. They decided it was probably best to get everyone in one car, otherwise the plan wouldn’t work out. The girls would just jump into the other car. Once everyone was situated, Luke revved the engine and blasted the music.
“Let’s get this party started!” Shouted Tom as he passed around the beer.
“Guys, we haven’t even made it to the club yet,” Mary chuckles as she takes her offered drink.
“Yeah, we’ve got all night, guys!” Anna giggles taking a sip of her beer, worrying about spilling it over her dress in the back of the Jeep.
“C’mon girls, lighten up! They wanted to party, so let’s party!” Chelsea encourages her sisters. She loved her girls, but sometimes they worry for no reason. It was time to lighten up and enjoy their Halloween!
“That’s right, babe! We are here to party!” Mike says, taking her mouth again.
Chelsea squeals and climbs up into his lap to get more of what she wants. She could kiss him forever and not get tired… If they weren’t surrounded by their friends, she had some other thoughts on how they could celebrate… But that would have to wait!
After driving for half an hour, Anna is the first to look out the windows. Something really didn’t feel right about this! They should be around the shops and strip malls by now, not in the middle of nowhere! Were they lost or something?
“Hey guys, this isn’t the way to the University district. We are no where near the clubs…” Anna says a little uncomfortable with the look of the area they were in.
It looked broken down, and there were no lights anywhere. They were surrounded by dark trees. Storm clouds were overhead. Nothing was on this side of town. How could they get so turned around?
Suddenly, the car comes to a sudden screeching stop, fishtailing as Luke tries to gain control of his vehicle.
“Damn it! I think I just blew a tire!” Luke groans out loud. He really laid it on thick to convince the girls that the tire was ruined. But he really didn’t want any harm to come to his Jeep!
“WHAT!?!” Screams Anna. “Get out and fix the tire!’
Luke looks over at her pretty face and tires to look sheepish. “I don’t have a spare, babe…” She looks so hot when she is freaking out! He just hoped he didn’t end up laughing at her and blowing his cover!
“What are you talking about? Call a tow truck!” Demands Mary, looking at Tom. The girls all gave their phones to the boyfriends for the night so they didn’t have to hold them while they were dancing.
Tom pulls out his phone and looks at it. He was actually shocked to see that he only had one bar, but it would have been enough to call for help if anything happened, but Mary didn’t need to know that!
“Sorry, babe. No signal out here,” He says, trying to kiss her neck, to hide his snickering.
“Look! There is a building up there… Maybe they have a phone we can borrow so we can call for help?” Suggests Mike. The gate was off its hinges, so they could totally slip in with the girls. The front door was slightly ajar. That would make it easier to get in!
All three girls exchange dubious looks as they take in the old abandoned building in front of them. They knew where they were and there was no way in hell these boys were going to get them in there!
“Why the hell would they have a working phone, when the building has been out of practice for over a decade?” Demands Chelsea. She had no plans to ruin her dress for the completely non existent chance of having a working phone!
“Yeah! We might as well just walk to the nearest main street!” Agrees, Mary. It was the safest bet as far as she was concerned!
“Aww… C’mon girls. What’s the worst that could happen? Plus there is a storm coming soon! You don’t want to ruin your pretty dresses, and break your heels just to find a ride, do you?” Tom pouts. He knows he is gonna have to sweet talk his way on this one. The girls weren’t stupid!
“Yeah! Plus, it’ll be fun! You girls can say you went into a haunted asylum on Halloween and survived,” Luke smirked, like he’d just come up with the awesomest idea ever!
“I dunno,” Mary says. “I don’t have a good feeling about this place…” Even looking at it sent chills down her spine.
Suddenly a crack of thunder breaks across the sky and the windshield is pelted with huge drops of water. The temperature dropped along with the rain. The trees were shaking in the wind, causing shadows to play in their minds.
“If we make a run for it, at least we’ll be dry!” Mike insists, taking Chelsea by the hand. This was exactly what they needed to convince the girls. They wouldn't want to ride out the storm in the Jeep!
“Fine!” she sighs. But she still didn’t have a good feeling about this.
“READY! ON THREE,” Luke calls out.
“ONE, TWO, THREE!” The boys counted together.
And everyone bolted through the broken gate and up to the slightly opened front door, pushing their way through the creaking metal doors that slam behind them, clanging echoing through the empty halls.
