Chapter 1

'HIS NAME BE BAS' OAN THE SON OF DURA, WARRIOR OF THE KINGDOM OF EZZOR. HE DOES LEAD THE GREAT REBELLION, A HOST OF KINGDOMS AND CRUEL MERCENARIES WHO STRIKE HANDS TOGETHER AND DESIRE THE FALL OF ECHAN'

Shebah looked on at him as he inched towards her with a dangerous gait. He got close to her causing the wooden box to sway under his extreme weight and a cruel smirk made its way to his face. He crouched by her side and held her chin roughly with his coarse hand squeezing at her jaw like he would crush it. Shebah winced. He spoke with a deep slithering undertone.

"So you be the thorn I be informed about, little flower. Of a truth when I did hear of a nuisance my soul had thought of someone much more powerful. A troublesome lad most likely. I had at a point thought of that bullheaded ass of a prince called Magnusbut here I find a delicate nimble, fair and surprisingly silver haired little dame" He bit his lips in an uncomfortably sensual way and Shebah felt bile rise to her throat. He bent her neck to an awkward position and she grunted.

"So, how is it that you cause problems for us little flower? What power is it that you possess that the nobles do bow before you?

Shebah felt his hands snake up her legs and she felt her arms quiver.

God. No. No. No. Her heart had stopped and legs go numb as his hand snaked up. She wringed her head in disgust and  Bas'Oan gave a wicked laugh at her futile struggle. He snaked his hands up her breast and she screamed.

"Why struggle you? Surely I would see what power it is you possess. Surely this strange bewitching and alluring beauty of yours together with your powers must make you good company under the sheets, right whore?

He bent her neck sharply again and Shebah let out a sharp forceful yelp and he forced her to look face to face with his till he could see her already reddening eyes. He smirked in pleasure. Shebah winced.

"God of all the evils you would permit, do not let this be done to me. I beseech you! Please! Shebah screamed inwardly.

Bas'Oan leaned forward and brushed his brutish lips forcefully on her neck kissing her roughly and Shebah felt bile rise up her throat.

God, this wasn't happening!

Suddenly Shebah felt her animalistic instincts slap at her thoughts and she brought her teeth hard on Bas'oan's right ear. Bas'Oan gave a deep growl as he made to pull away from Shebah but she held unto him, biting more fiercely at the ear that he couldn't pull away. He screamed and landed a heavy blow on her stomach and she gave a heavy grunt in pain. She came crashing to the ground with a winch but somehow managed to sit up despite her chained hands.

Bas'Oan had stood up by now and ran his hand on his ear staring at space in naked shock. He withdrew his hand with a wince to see fresh blood then his eyes redirected to Shebah who gazed at him like an animal. That instant she forcefully spat something out and he gasped. It was the piece of his ear she had bitten off. Bas'Oan felt the indignation rise up his chest like fire.

The whore had just bitten his ear off!

He lunged at Shebah and gave her a deafening slap. She yelped and fell backwards. He kicked her in the stomach again and Shebah forced out a spittle of blood from her mouth. She groaned deep and low in agony.

"You whore! I see you do desire being treated as a dog therefore will I handle you in such manner!

He lifted her face up and slapped her again and Shebah felt her mouth draw blood as her body slammed against the floor like a sack of grain, he climbed over her and made to hold her hand in place but Shebah wriggled and turned.

"I would rather you kill me you beast!

Shebah spat with vehement disgust and rage and the next minute she brought her knee forcefully upwards to his groin, jabbing him hard at the area. He grunted and staggered as he held at his groin grunting in pain. He staggered and before he could regain composure, Shebah sent her  shackled leg crashing against his face in a kick and sent him crashing to the floor.

Bas'Oan gave deep gluttural groans as he nursed his injured parts. He glared at Shebah with now animal like eyes and Shebah stared back in defiance.

"Surely you will receive a recompense for your folly whore!" He staggered up and brought out a dagger and just when Shebah thought she would see her blood sprinkled on the ground, the door to the box was flung open the next minute and a conspicious figure climbed in with two others less noticable and gruffly dressed figures.

Shebah by now was panting like a released lion but her face went pale when her eyes clocked with the man who came standing right next to Bas'Oan with a stunned look on his face.

Her throat had gone dry by now and of a truth it felt like her eyes were deceiving her. He looked at her in turn and even his rigid demeanor couldn't hide the naked shock on his face. Asher turned to face Shebah and then to one of the figures who followed him in.

"She be the one?

"Yea captain"

That moment Asher felt his heart crash against his ribs.
