Chapter one: Judgmental
I woke up this morning to my parents fighting, it's nothing new, it's normal now. When I got up from my bed I heard my mom yell from the kitchen.
"I WANT A DIVORCE! 29 YEARS IS ENOUGH!"
I wasn't surprised honestly, my parents are always fighting, it was bound to happen. I started to get dressed for school and go downstairs, when I got downstairs my parents looked at me with disgust. I looked at them with confusion, my father then smacked me and I fell.
"I told you never to wear those clothes, Hakima! it makes us look bad"
my father yelled at me with anger and disgust. When I get up from the floor, I look at a body mirror and look at what I'm wearing.
when i'm done eating, I quickly walk to school. but when I'm walking, one of the cheerleaders pushes me to the floor, when I look I see Britney.
"watch where you're going loser"
she says as she grabs my bag.
"your bag is so heavy, let me help"
she unzips my bag and hangs up it upside down, everything falls out of my backpack.
"oops my bad"
she throws my empty backpack at me and she laughs while walking away.
"ugh, stupid bitch"
I say under my breath as I start putting my things in my backpack.
when I got to school I saw Britney with her boyfriend, Jayden, the captain of the football team and the most popular boy at school. I didn't pay much attention and took another way to my 1st period so I wouldn't have to run into them on the way.
when I get to my 1st period the bell rings and everyone is already sitting, I go to the back of the class and sit in my usual spot. just then a new kid comes in, he looks like he's Emo and Japanese but I'm probably wrong. when I see him I feel my heart racing, my palms become sweaty, and I feel my face heating up. am I sick? I never felt this feeling before, what is this feeling? Just then Mr. William started talking.
"Class, we have a new student"
he says looking at the kid
"would you like to introduce yourself?"
the kid nods and stands In Front of the chalkboard
"My name is Tadashi, I'm 16, and I am from Japan"
FINALLY! ANOTHER KID FROM JAPAN! I'M THE ONLY KID THATS FROM JAPAN!
"you can sit next to, Hakima."
Mr. William looks around
"Hakima, please raise your hand"
I do as I'm asked and I raise my hand. Tadashi comes and sits next to me, and I try looking away but I can't. his black and white messy hair, his brown eyes, and his lips are so hard to look away from. He looks at me and I look down at my desk trying to avoid looking and talking to him, but he's just staring at me for the whole period.
"so what's your name?"
I look at him and I feel my face heat up and his face turns red
"I'm Hakima"
for the first time in my life, I smiled
"Nice to meet you, I'm Tadashi. Do you want to be friends?"
"sure"
I don't know if I can trust him but imma just keep to myself and see how things go
