Chapter 1

I heard that touch was therapeutic. A touch from someone you have a strong connection with, something as simple as a hug can change your entire mood. I never knew what that felt like. Being 18 in a few days is riding on my mind. As a young werewolf, I could be mated to someone...finally. Being an outcast...an abomination...something that shouldn’t have been created...I’ve struggled with connecting with people. Only a few people get it. My...condition, the one I was born with has caused bullying, abuse...some things I wouldn’t dare speak of again. So many don’t believe it when I tell them I’m intersex. I’m mostly male but I’ve got an extra part to me. I look sort of feminine too but I’ve been shunned...kicked down left and right but, I do have one friend.

“Jos!” he calls out to me, “Josi! Wait up!”

“You’re so slow Ross. I can’t wait for you all day.” I tease.

“I’m sorry!” he whines, huffing and puffing to catch up to me.

“You’re the nephew of a beta, do better.”

“C’mon, not the uncle card.”

“As your next Alpha, you should live up to my expectations. Your uncle has no kids so you will be my next beta.”

“I know, I know,” the boy pouts. Ross is well built and extremely tall at 6 feet compared to me, the tiny son of the Alpha. He has auburn hair and green eyes that sparkled like morning dew on grass. He’s the complete opposite of me. He’s been my friend since I was born. He’s 17 as well but he was born two days earlier than Jru and I.

“Good. Now when we get home you should start training.”

“Yes Jos...” my friend nods solemnly. “Hey, what are your plans for your birthday? I already know about what I'll do.”

“A huge pack party I don’t want to go to.”

“But it’ll be your 18th! You should be excited!”

“Half the pack wanted me killed when I was born. They legit said ‘what are we supposed to do with a She-male as an alpha?’ I’m a joke...” I hang my head down.

“Cheer up! You are born from a long line of Alpha’s, you and Jru.” Jrusilla is my twin sister. She was born normal. She should be the next Alpha of the pack. She’s stronger, prettier, more Alpha like than the weakling I am. I’m more of a girl than she is. With a small build of being 5′5.5" in height, snow white hair past my shoulders and eyes that rival the ocean, I’ve been mistaken for a female many times. Not to mention my sense of style is mostly feminine in itself because I find it more flattering for my body type.

“The only reason I’m next in line before my twin sister is because I happen to have a dick. I win by default...every time...” my sorrowful tone drifts off.

“You are your father’s son, Josi. You will be a great Alpha and I bet you’ll find a smoking hot mate. Maybe it’ll be Natalie or Tina, Reagan, Melina-”

“Did you forget I’m basically gay? I like men too...more than girls even,” one man in particular. I cut him off as we arrive to our pack grounds.

Home...Home sweet home...My wolf, Brel, likes being here. He feels safest here, yet so many bad things have happened to us in our own house. I suppose our bedroom is what he finds safe. Ross and I enter our pack house which the pack lives in collectively. It was more like a hotel rather than a house.

I’m hungry and I wanna see Milly. Brel loves my sister’s wolf dearly. Jru and I have been almost inseparable since birth. Seeing her every day is a blessing to my cursed life.

“Jru!” I call out. Immediately the girl bolts down the steps to jump into a hug with me.

“Brother darling! I missed you! How was your walk home?”

“Good, I missed you too.” I nuzzle my sister, holding her tight. Ross was giving us a weird look.

“You just saw each other twenty minutes ago.”

“So?” my sister and I snap at him in unison. Heavy footsteps echo though the hall behind Jru. I look over her shoulder to see...him.

“Josilus. Come here.” His deep, demanding voice shakes my very core, causing my body to tremble in fear. I swallow that fear and release my sister. The demand of The Alpha cannot be easily denied. Not even by his own son.

“Y-yes daddy...”
