This story takes place directly after Lost Blood and there are (starting in the fourth sentence) spoilers galore for the other books. Also, there are easter eggs all over this book.

Don’t be fooled by the cover. There is nothing slow burn beyond the cover. It’s going to hop into the action with limited exposition, as this adventure caters to fans of the series and these scenes have been 2 books in the making.
