Summary

Hace cinco años ya desde que su mejor amigo Alexander (Xander para los amigos) dejó Italia para mudarse a un lugar desconocido para Delia, quien acaba de cumplir 18 años y siente que su mundo está a punto de cambiar, aunque aún no sabe muy bien cómo. O eso cree, hasta que su abuela le hace un regalo que cambiará todo.

Prólogo

Xander está intentando decapitar a mis peluches. Otra vez. Estaba sentada en el jardín de mi nonna, jugando con los peluches nuevos que me acababa de comprar mi tío Enzo, cuando llegó Xander. Alexander es mi mejor amigo desde que tengo memoria, siempre ha estado ahí. Nuestras familias siempre pasan las vacaciones juntas, porque nuestras abuelas son mejores amigas, así que algunos años nos quedamos aquí y otros nos vamos a Manarola, donde vive Xander y su familia, que está solo a unos 10 minutos en coche, y durante el resto del año también solemos vernos varias veces. Siempre dice que su pueblo es más bonito porque tiene una playa super grande, y la verdad es que tiene un poco de razón, pero me encanta discutir con él, así que suelo decirle que cuando un tsunami engulla su pueblo ya no será tan bonito como él dice.

Hoy lleva puesta una camiseta de algún videojuego del que estoy segura de que me ha hablado alguna vez, y unos vaqueros cortos porque ya estamos casi en verano. Le queda muy bien, combina con sus ojos azules y su pelo ondulado. Nunca se lo digo porque me da vergüenza pero sus ojos tienen el color del mar, uno muy bonito.

-¡Hola Lía! Pensaba que te estabas escondiendo, tu abuela me ha dicho que estabas en el salón pero no te encontraba- dice con su típica sonrisa. Esa es una de las cosas que más me gustan de Xander, que siempre tiene una sonrisa en la cara, y muchas veces no puedo evitar sonreír yo también al verla.

-¡Xander mira mis peluches nuevos!- le digo agitando los brazos con un peluche de conejo en cada mano- ¡Vamos a jugar con ellos!

Así que eso hacemos durante un rato, hasta que Xander piensa que es muy aburrido seguir manteniendo una conversación imaginaria entre los peluches y decide que es mucho más divertido girarles la cabeza todo lo que pueda.

Al principio me enfado con él e intento quitarle el peluche que tiene en las manos, pero de repente empieza a correr por todo el jardín riendo mientras grita que nunca voy a poder alcanzarlo porque es más rápido que yo.

Él puede ser más rápido, pero yo siempre he sido más lista, así que cuando empieza a dar la sexta vuelta, pongo el otro peluche en su camino sin que se de cuenta, y tal y como pensaba, cae al suelo rodando como una croqueta.

Al principio parece muy confundido hasta que se me escapa la risa y empiezo a reírme a carcajadas, y entonces él también se une y ríe mientras sigue tumbado en el suelo, lleno de tierra.
