Chapter 1
Dear Ann,
This will be a letter you will never see.
Like you never seen your daughter as your own.
I remember watching your daughter near the window
For aspiration.
I remember your daughter sending you messages
But you never answered
Dear Ann,
neglect was normal life every weekend, every month and every year.
You said she was your blood, but you never act like it.
Dear Ann
She waited 15-16 years for you
She knew she was the collected pictures that would sit in the dust.
I wonder how you forgot those pictures.
Dear Ann
You made promises
But they were never made
She was always left out
She was always the black sheep
The black sheep who was the babysitter, that everyone forgot to feed.
She learned Neglect wasn’t love
learned the word abandoned
Learned she was the forgotten one, until she messaged you.
Dear Ann
She would return home, with nothing just a tear
Right when she looked at your face, she’d be hoping for you to get off the bed but that promise was broken.
promises were broken
Pictures were slowly ripping apart
Newer ones slowly turning to dust
Old ones were fading away.
Dear Ann
I know you will never see this letter.
Your daughter is the dust on the picture frame.
The picture slowly fades away without any acknowledgement
You still hang out with those friends that slowly kill you.
With the no acknowledgment or care
She finally didn't cry or yell for attention.
She just learned to walk away. There was no path for you and her
There wasn't process on anything you built with her
Mom, don't complain just accept
Mom, I wasn't seen, I was the picture covered in dust
But i always questions, why did forget me?
I wish you could answer,
Don’t forget, I'm the reality you made.
