Chapter 1
We've always been planning to go on a trip , my friends and me , but only after we finish grade twelve. And now that the day has finally came , we are preparing for our tour. My mom has always wanted me to be outgoing like other girls and have some fun but unfortunately I was very introverted and had few friends, who now became my best friends, I had only four close friends, who too were like my mother who insisted on going on this day trip, my friends knew that I was introverted and had few social connections so they wanted to help me become more comfortable into public places for I was inexperienced in many things because of being antisocial and introverted . In the morning of the day, my mother came to my room and threw herself on me with an embrace, vivacious as she was about my going "wake up baby. " She said and kissed my cheek.
"I can't believe it's already in the morning!" I said yawning.
"Come on your friends will be here already." My mother said , pulling the blanket away.
"Ooh!, but I don't want to go ." I said covering myself with the blanket .
"Don't be silly Linda. get up now I was going to make you breakfast ."
"Alright. In a minute."
I woke up and packed my clothes and got ready. I wore black jeans and a cool t-shirt, I just tied my hair up for a stylish look . I looked in the mirror, and thought how pretty I looked I smiled and went to the kitchen where I found my mother waiting for me at the kitchen table she said as she gave me a long delighted gaze . "you look beautiful as ever , I'm proud of you , you've finally grown up I still remember how antisocial you used to be , perhaps you've changed haven't you ? "
"Maybe not , maybe I'm still antisocial mom , my heart isn't in this I –"
"–oh , my darling I know exactly how you feel , but trust me , it's going to be fine , your friends will be with you–" said she , a doorbell sounded and from that moment we knew it was my friends . I got up and said "I'll get it " .
I opened the door "Hey–"
"–Hey , girl are you ready–" Sammy rushed in
"Where's your bag . ? " Quiana said and as she saw my mother she jumped into her arms and hugged her " hello mother."
"Hello girls."
They waited for me at the kitchen as I went into my room to collect my bag and then afterwards we went on a car waving goodbyes to my mother who stood in front of the door . We drove away .
Sammy turned music on which everyone enjoyed at the very moment, I sang along with them while I leaned my head against the window and gazed at the birds of the air in the azure sky that was sunny and without checking the weather , we just only assumed that it would not rain . I looked around at my friends in the car and saw Abigail who was singing with a fake mico enjoyably as if she was the real singer of the song. And in the front there seated Sammy , she looked around enjoying herself as she sang she put her hands around her shoulders , by her seated Quiana who's only fixed attentively at the road, and as I looked beside me and Abigail seated Olivia who was only focused on her phone and never looking up .
"This dress suits you well , Olivia ." I said and smiled at Olivia she returned my smile with a wry one "I know, that's why I bought it." Olivia was a kind of person who if you only compliment her would definitely make her feel arrogant. I rolled my eyes and looked back out through the window into the peaceful sky, for I knew we were driving two hours to where we were going .
We then stopped by the coffee store and ordered rolls and coffee and then ate before we went to the car again..
We arrived shortly afterwards in Harrisburg in a place written in its fence 'ONLY FUN ACTIVITIES '
We left the car , and then someone approached us saying ."Hello , come to have fun ,"
"Yes , we have."
"Oh then one person from your group please follow me , this way, and the rest can wait here." Sammy went with the man.
We waited for sixty seconds at least it wasn't that long of a wait .
