Chapter 1

Luna, a sixteen year old girl was travelling far away. When she was 12, she dreamed of traveling dangerous places, so that could prove she could care for herself to her parents. She went far away searching for a place to stay.

After walking, she saw a cave opening covered with curtains of vines. Luna, not having a place to rest before night came, went inside the cave, praying to find a peaceful resting position. She started going deeper into the cave as it became harder to see. While walking she had found a sort of writing on the wall she couldn’t read.

So she took a notebook from her bag and wrote down the words. She continued further, going in deeper, finding even more unusual drawings and writings. Some drawings had a creature drawn over them, but it was hardly visible as it was covered with paint. The only thing she saw was a sentence but’ the words disappeared in thin air without her being able to read.

Luna continued exploring furthur in the cave, she heard a noise not far away, sounding like a growl. Luna quickly walked away carefully, trying not to make a sound. She hid behind a huge rock, trying to get a peek at the creature. Instead of being scared, Luna was fascinated by the beast. It had a long body, a long neck, and majestic wings. Luna was amazed. She took out her notebook and started drawing the creature.

When she was done, she placed her book back in her bag. She kept looking at the creature, interest increasing. After a while, she decided to stay in the cave and learn more about this creature. “Hmm, I should give it a name.” she thought for a while “What would be a good name?” a bunch of names rumbled in her mind as she mumbled them each by each “Lumina.. Umbra.. Vy- how about Flare!?” She spoke too loud. The creature, now named Flare, heard and went closer to Luna, looking alert. It jumped to her side with a confused look, appearing friendly. “Oh! Uhh- hello there?” Luna said awkwardly. Flare tilted its head, wings shimmering faintly in the dim light as if understanding her, so then Flare gave her a nod and started walking away, occasionally looking back as if saying to follow it.

Flare had led her to a place with a small leaf type bed in the middle. A bunch of leafs gathered around so it looked a lot more comfy then sleeping on the ground. It wasn’t too nice, but again she’s in a deep cave. Luna’s eyes sparkled. She had found a place to relax and also a new company. Luna went closer to the leaf batch, examining it as if an artifact in a museum. It was for fascinating to her that Flare, a creature that probably is from the caved had as if read her mind and led her to a place to rest for the night. Later, as Luna placed down her bags and got comfy on the leaf batch. Flare was staring right at her soul from the entrance. Waiting. She was creeped out by this and suddenly much more of those creatures had just came out from the shadows. Surrounding Luna. They were still for a moment, and then they struck. Running in speed to Luna attacking her from each side. Luna was frightnened, shutting close her eyes as if not seeing them will make them dissapear.

But then. She heard a voice.

‘Wake up!’ someone shouted in her ear. ‘Amelia, you really like being lazy, now get up and get changed,’ the person said.. Luna opened her eyes and found herself laying down on a bed. It finally hit her. It was all a dream of hers. Nothing was real.

Sydne: Very heartwarming story. It has real emotions. The main female character reminds me somewhat of myself having to deal with childhood trauma that just leads you down a path of more bad decisions until one day you make a decision that changes everything for the better and it’s hard for to realize that...
