Alpha Aleksandr’s Dancer (Lycan Series Book #2)

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Inez has never belonged anywhere. Born a halfling-neither fully human nor Lycan-she grows up despised by both worlds and learns early that survival leaves no room for softness. When her mother abandons her under crushing debt, Inez is forced into a brothel, where she survives by keeping her heart locked away and trusting no one but herself. Until she catches the attention of the Alpha of the East. For the last seven years, Alpha Aleksandr has ruled the Eastern Realm from behind a wall of grief and control. After losing the woman he loved, he buried whatever remained of the man he once was and accepted that the part of him capable of love had died with her. Until Inez. What begins as an attraction neither of them should indulge soon threatens to become something neither can control. But Aleksandr does not know that Inez's presence in his life is no coincidence. She was sent to him for a reason. And the closer she gets to the Alpha, the more dangerous her secret becomes. Because Inez has spent her entire life learning that survival means never letting herself care. But what happens when the man she was meant to betray becomes the one person she cannot bear to lose? In a world where loyalty has a price and love can be the deadliest weakness of all, Inez must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice for the man she was never supposed to love.

"A-alpha," Inez inclined her head, biting down hard on her lip and she glared hard at her feet.

"Look at me," his voice was low, stripped of the usual command she was so used to that her head snapped up before she could even stop her self.

He'd moved closer, barely inches away from her. She could make out the thin jagged scar that nicked across his left brow and eye, but that took nothing away from the obvious fact that he was handsome.

With amber eyes that seemed to flicker like tiny flames in the darkness and a stubbled jawline carved by the goddess herself. The unruly stands of dark brown hair were pulled to the back of his head leaving stray strands to frame his face.

Her breath stuttered, but not from fear, it was something embarrassingly close to the feeling of a teenager talking to her crush for the first time.

What the hell

His stare seemed to unravel her than make her feel scared or intimidated.

But the thing was, she should be intimidated.

He was the Alpha for God's sake, but it was as though every cell and bone in her body along with her basic survival instincts, had packed their bags and gone on a holiday.

If anything, she was way more curious about the Alpha's reason for approaching her.

Though it was true she'd intended to attract a powerful Lycan, hence her performance that evening, but not him—never him.

What if he declared his interest in her service, could she dare to refuse him?

And if she somehow did, would he spare her life?

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
