The World Within Her

The morning sun spilled golden light across Jaipur's narrow streets, catching the terracotta rooftops in a warm glow. Ananya Rao stood by her bedroom window, suitcase open on the floor, clothes half-packed, and a notebook clutched in her hand. Her heart thumped with a strange mix of fear and excitement. She smiled, a little wistfully, feeling both comforted and terrified.

As the taxi pulled away, her mother waved, eyes glistening, and her father stood silently, pride and worry etched on his face. Ananya pressed her forehead against the cool glass of the window, letting the city fade behind her.
