Chapter 1

ADDAM'S MANSION

Sunlight poured through the tall windows of Isabella Addams' bedroom, turning the dark furniture gold.

The room was a perfect mess of who she was - sleek and expensive, but lived-in. Posters of swirling musical notes covered one wall, her sleek black cello stood in the corner like it was waiting for her, and sheet music lay scattered across the bed.

On another wall were photos from her motorbike races - her leaning hard into turns, crossing finish lines with a wild grin, helmet tucked under her arm.

Sketches and edgy charcoal drawings were pinned up everywhere, the kind she made at 2 a.m. when she couldn't sleep.

And right on the nightstand was the photo she never moved: her and her mom, smiling like nothing in the world could touch them.

Isabella was sprawled on her king-sized bed, scrolling through her phone with a bored scowl. Whatever drama was trending today wasn't worth her time.

She pocketed her phone, stood up, and grabbed her leather bag.

The door slammed behind her like it always did - a loud fuck you to the whole house.

She headed down the grand marble staircase. Maids passed in the corridor, bowing politely and murmuring greetings.

Isabella offered nothing in return, her expression unreadable.

In the kitchen, Mrs. Maria - her stepmother - was directing the staff.

The smell of fresh croissants and expensive coffee filled the air.

Hearing the distant greetings, Mrs. Maria set down a tray, wiped her hands on a linen towel, and stepped into the foyer just as Isabella reached the front door.

"Isabella!" she called, trying to sound warm.

Isabella paused at the front door, turning slowly.

The smile on Mrs. Maria's face faltered under her cold stare. "I just wanted to-"

"I'll grab something on the way," Isabella cut in, voice flat. "Don't worry about me."

She didn't wait for a reply.

The heavy door clicked shut behind her with finality.

She took the private elevator down to the underground garage, where her motorcycle waited beneath recessed lighting - a sleek, limited-edition machine with matte-black accents and chrome that caught every glint.

Isabella approached, lifted her helmet, and secured it in place, swung her leg over, and twisted the key. The engine roared to life, loud and angry, exactly how she liked it.

A squad of guards appeared instantly, forming a wall around her.

Isabella tilted her head, eyes narrowing behind the visor.

One of them stepped forward and bowed. "Ma'am, Lady Maria asked us to escort you."

Isabella let out a low, bitter chuckle.

Without a word, she revved the engine hard and shot forward, forcing the guards to jump out of the way.

The estate gates opened smoothly, and she tore out onto the open road, wind whipping past her as the mansion disappeared in her mirrors.

From the master suite balcony, Mrs. Maria watched the motorcycle vanish down the long driveway.

She'd known the escort would be refused. Isabella had never accepted her authority - not since the day she married Isabella's father after her mother's death.

The girl refused to call her anything but "Mrs. Maria." Refused to even look at her most days.

With a quiet sigh, she turned away and closed the glass doors.

Isabella carved through the city, weaving between vehicles with easy, making sharp turns and bursts of acceleration that turned heads and earned honks of protest.

Attention was the last thing she wanted, yet it followed her like exhaust.

Eventually, fatigue nudged her toward familiarity.

She throttled down and pulled into the gravel lot of a modest diner far from the manicured boulevards of the elite districts - a place where no one expected to spot an Addams heir.

She killed the engine, dismounted gracefully, removed her helmet, and slipped on her signature black mask.

Privacy was non-negotiable; her face had trended on social media far too often, especially after the infamous confrontation with Elena Martins, the former queen bee of Westbrook High.

Isabella had sent her to the hospital with a single, decisive slam against a cafeteria table. The memory still brought a faint, satisfied smirk to her lips.

Inside the diner, conversation dipped as she entered. Even masked, her presence commanded notice - tall and athletic, moving with the coiled confidence of someone perpetually ready for conflict.

Whispers trailed her to a corner booth. She ordered quickly and waited.

At a window table, three girls stared openly, their gossip carrying on the quiet air.

"That's the mask girl again."

"Acts like she owns every room she walks into."

"Bet she's hiding something hideous under there."

Isabella heard it and recognized them instantly: Elizabeth, broad and belligerent; Mary, thin and jittery; Anna, the loudmouth.

Neighborhood terrors - bullies, thieves, the sort locals avoided after dark. This was her regular place and she knew them.

Her food arrived. She paid, collected the bag, and returned to her bike.

Footsteps crunched behind her as she fastened the takeout to the storage rack. "Nice ride," Anna drawled, circling the motorcycle with mock admiration.

Isabella remained silent, acting like she didn't hear anything

"Mask girl doesn't talk, huh?" Elizabeth sneered.

Isabella mounted the bike.

As she reached for her helmet, Anna snatched it away.

"This'll fetch a fortune," Anna said, tossing it to Elizabeth.

"Definitely,Enough to make today interesting”, Elizabeth replied, lobbing it to Mary.

Isabella's fingers tightened on the handlebars. "Give it back," she said evenly, voice low and controlled, "and you walk away unscathed."

For a moment, silence settled between them.

Then the girls burst into laughter.

"Did she just threaten us?" Anna asked.

Elizabeth stepped forward, “You can't even budge me," she taunted, hurling the helmet again.

Fury simmered beneath Isabella's calm exterior.

She twisted the throttle.

The engine snarled to life, startling the trio.

The sound alone wiped the smiles from their faces.

She reversed sharply, tires scraping against the gravel as Elizabeth stumbled backward.

"Hey! Watch it!" Elizabeth shouted.

Isabella didn't answer.

She accelerated forward.

Not enough to hurt them.

Just enough to remind them exactly who they had chosen to provoke.

She circled the three girls, the motorcycle cutting a controlled path around them.

Gravel sprayed beneath the tires as panic replaced their confidence.

Their laughter disappeared.

Their insults became nervous shouts.

The same girls who had spent years making others afraid were suddenly the ones looking for an escape.

Enjoyment crept into Isabella's focus as terror distorted their faces.

She plunged into the center of their huddle, scattering them like bowling pins.

Mary, still clutching the helmet, bolted. Isabella pursued instantly, overtaking in a blur and cutting a sharp arc that nearly clipped the girl's ankles.

Mary skidded to a halt, trembling, and thrust the helmet forward.

Isabella dismounted, reclaimed it with a swift snatch, and swung back onto the seat.

By now a small crowd of neighbors had gathered, phones raised, filming silently.

Relief was palpable in their stares - no one mourned the humbling of the local bullies.

Isabella tugged off her mask.

Gasps rippled through the onlookers. The Addams daughter.

Isabella scoffed at the onlookers' stunned reactions, her expression a mix of disdain and satisfaction.

She secured her helmet in place, swung her leg gracefully over the seat, ignited the engine with a firm twist of the key, and roared off into the distance - tires kicking up gravel as she vanished down the road.

Within minutes, clips flooded the internet: another reckless spectacle courtesy of Isabella Addams, the heiress with a trail of expulsions and scandal.

***

High up in the hills of Beverly Hills, the Hawkeye estate stood out like something from a movie - all glass, steel, and fancy Italian marble, with a killer view of Los Angeles sparkling down below.

The Hawkeye name meant serious money and power. Their multimillion empire covered real estate, tech companies, and big entertainment investments.

Reginald Hawkeye, had taken their already good wealth and turned it into something massive through sharp instincts and perfect timing.

His wife Elaine, a former international model who now ran their big charity foundations, gave the family that polished, elegant image everyone envied.

Their only son and heir, William, had been away for two months. He wasn't back yet, but he was due home at any moment.

Officially the trip was for "personal development," though rumors whispered it was really about exclusive parties and discreet excesses.

The whole mansion was buzzing with anticipation.

Staff hurried around the bright, airy halls, making sure everything was perfect.

Fresh flowers were everywhere - big dramatic arrangements of deep red roses, exotic orchids, and bright birds-of-paradise.

Their sweet scent mixed with the smell of polished wood and expensive candles.

Crystal chandeliers glittered overhead, and rich silk curtains framed the huge windows.

In the grand foyer, a massive custom tapestry with the family crest - a fierce hawk against a starry shield - hung proudly above the sweeping staircase.

The dining room had been turned into pure luxury. The long forty-foot mahogany table (a family heirloom) was set with the finest silver, sparkling Baccarat crystal glasses, and delicate porcelain.

Candles floated among flowers in the centerpieces, casting soft, romantic light everywhere.

The menu was ridiculous in the best way: Russian beluga caviar, Japanese wagyu beef, Italian black truffle risotto, and a giant croquembouche tower for dessert - all prepared by private Michelin-starred chefs.

Elaine moved through the house in a silk blouse and tailored pants, quietly approving the final touches.

Once she was satisfied, she stepped out onto the big terrace overlooking the driveway, eager for the first glimpse of her son.

A moment later Reginald joined her, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind.

"It feels like forever since he's been home," she said softly, leaning back into him.

Reginald pressed a gentle kiss to her temple. "He'll be pulling up any minute now."

"I know... I've missed him more than I thought I would," Elaine admitted, her voice catching slightly. "Two months is too long."

He tightened his hold on her. "I've missed him too. But he's coming home tonight. Let's just enjoy having our boy back."

***

At the private terminal of LAX, the Hawkeye jet touched down smoothly.

The ground crew moved quickly around it as the stairs lowered.

Polished black dress shoes touched the ground first, followed by long legs dressed in perfectly tailored trousers.

William stepped down from the jet wearing a black leather jacket over a charcoal shirt left open at the collar, revealing a hint of tanned skin beneath the expensive fabric.

His dark hair was slightly tousled from the flight, but somehow it only added to his effortless confidence.

Even behind his designer sunglasses, there was something striking about him—the sharp lines of his jaw, the calm arrogance in his posture, and the unmistakable presence of someone who knew exactly who he was.

At eighteen, William Hawkeye was six-foot-two, broad-shouldered, and built like an athlete.

Heads turned wherever he went—not because he demanded attention, but because he naturally commanded it.

As he descended the stairs, the ground crew and bodyguards instinctively straightened, acknowledging him with the silent respect reserved for someone born into power.

At the bottom of the steps waited his midnight-black Ferrari, custom everything. A guard held the door open.

William slid into the cool leather seat, and the door shut with a solid, satisfying thud.

He let out a deep breath, shoulders finally relaxing after the long flight. Pulling out his phone, he powered it on.

The screen immediately exploded with notifications - over two hundred messages.

He went straight to the chat with Andrew, his best friend.

Unlike him, Andrew was solid, loyal, and never judged. The kind of guy who kept him grounded.

A small smile crossed William's face as he read through the messages:

"Hey man, you out yet?"

"Text me when you land."

"I'm waiting for you to get back."

"What time you getting in?"

It felt good. Andrew was more like a brother than a friend - someone who actually cared without wanting anything in return.

William appreciated that more than he usually let on.

He was about to turn the phone off when a new notification popped up: a nude photo on his lock screen.

William smirked. Of course.

"Safe landing, Will”. the caption said, with a very explicit picture attached.

He groaned quietly, sinking deeper into the seat as the Ferrari pulled onto the highway.

That was one of the girls he'd already made plans with for tonight.

Casual, no strings - exactly how he liked it. He deleted the photo without replying.

Before he could put the phone away, another message came through: a short nude video, clearly taken in a bathroom mirror.

The girl was posing, blowing a teasing kiss at the camera.

William shook his head and let out a low chuckle. "Slut," he muttered, more amused than anything, then finally powered the phone down and tossed it onto the passenger seat.

He leaned back, watching the city lights blur past, already thinking about the chaos he was ready to bring back to LA.

The city had been way too quiet without him.

***

Isabella roared through the Addams gates and down into the subterranean garage.

Her father's Lamborghini was already parked there, along with the usual security detail. He'd clearly heard about the morning's drama.

She killed the engine and pulled off her helmet, hoping to slip away quietly, but two guards appeared almost immediately.

Isabella turned slowly, giving them a look that needed no words. It was sharp, icy what? that stopped them in their tracks.

One guard stepped forward anyway, dipping his head respectfully.

"Ma'am, the boss wants to see you."

She knew exactly why.

Isabella gave a small, knowing shake of her head, hung her helmet on the handlebar with deliberate care, then turned back to them with cool indifference.

"Tell him I'm taking a nap," she said flatly.

"But-"

The guard's protest died the second her eyes sharpened into a warning glare.

Cold. Unyielding. The whole group immediately bowed their heads.

"Sorry, ma'am," they muttered in overlapping apologies.

Isabella rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed, and strode past them without another word.

She headed straight for the private elevator, knowing her father was probably waiting near the grand staircase to intercept her.

She had zero interest in giving him the chance.

The elevator doors opened with a soft chime.

She stepped in, hit the button for her floor, and let out a breath as the doors closed.

A few moments later she was on her private level, walking into her bedroom - the one place in the entire mansion that actually felt like hers.

She shut the door behind her with a firm click.

Only then did the tension finally leave her shoulders.

She let out a long, slow exhale and collapsed face-first onto the king-sized bed, sinking deep into the plush pillows.

This room, this bed - it was her only real sanctuary in all the chaos.

The day had been exhausting: the reckless ride, the confrontation at the diner, and the inevitable viral mess that followed.

Still, a quiet chuckle escaped her as she replayed it all in her head. Part amusement, part pure defiance.

After a minute she lazily peeled off her riding jacket and kicked away her boots, then stripped down to her underwear.

Barefoot on the cool marble, she padded into the en-suite bathroom, twisted the gold taps, and let the deep tub fill with steaming water.

She added a splash of scented oil, filling the air with vanilla.

Soon she sank into the hot water, letting the heat melt the last knots of tension from her body.

***

The Ferrari glided up the long Hawkeye driveway, passing the manicured gardens and glowing fountains.

Guards stood at the entrance as William stepped out.

Elaine came down the front steps, her face lighting up the second she saw him. William's cool exterior dropped instantly.

He crossed the distance in a few long strides and pulled her into a tight, fierce hug - the kind that showed the real boy behind all the attitude.

When they finally pulled back, she cupped his face in her hands, smiling softly.

"My baby ... welcome home."

William's smile came easy and genuine - the kind he only showed her, his dad, and Andrew.

Reginald walked over next, clapping a firm hand on his son's shoulder before pulling him into a strong embrace.

Together, the three of them headed inside the brightly lit mansion.

***

The formal dining room of the Addams estate glowed under the soft light of the crystal chandelier.

The long mahogany table was beautifully set with fine porcelain, polished silver, and flickering candles.

Delicious smells rose from the dishes - roasted lamb with rosemary, truffle risotto, and fresh vegetables.

Mr. Addams sat at the head of the table, tense and quiet. Maria, his wife, sat beside him looking composed but clearly waiting.

Isabella's seat was still empty.

A maid had just placed the chocolate souffle on the table when soft footsteps came from the staircase.

Everyone turned.

Isabella came down, fresh from her bath, wearing an oversized black hoodie and gray lounge shorts.

Her damp hair fell in loose waves, and she had on sparkly pink flip-flops that made soft little sounds on the marble.

She looked completely at ease, like she had zero intention of dressing up for dinner in her own house.

She walked straight to her father, leaned down, and kissed his cheek softly.

Mr. Addams' tight expression relaxed almost instantly. He had been ready to scold her about the viral video from that morning, but that kiss - the one she'd clearly inherited from her mother - disarmed him every time.

Isabella gave a small, knowing smile and slid into her seat. She picked up her fork and started eating as if nothing had happened.

Then the front doors opened.

"Daddy! Mom!"

Cynthia, Isabella's stepsister, burst into the dining room, still carrying her overnight bag and a colorful gift tote from her trip to Aunt Clara's.

At fifteen, she had that bright, lively energy that always seemed to fill the room.

"Oh sweetheart," Maria rose immediately, opening her arms. Cynthia dropped her bag and hugged her tightly.

"Look at you," Maria said warmly, brushing a strand of hair from her daughter's face. "Did you have a good time with Aunt Clara?"

Cynthia grinned. "It was amazing. We baked cookies, went riding, and she told me all the old family stories again." She turned to her father next. "Daddy!"

Mr. Addams' stern face softened into a smile as he stood and pulled her into a hug. "Missed you, kiddo. Glad you're home."

Then Cynthia spotted Isabella and her face lit up. "Isabel!"

She hurried over and wrapped her arms around her big sister. Isabella's guarded expression softened into a real smile - the kind she only showed for Cynthia.

"I missed you," Isabella said quietly, hugging her back. "Tell me about the trip, troublemaker."

Cynthia laughed and launched into stories while Isabella motioned to a maid. "Bring another plate."

Soon Cynthia was seated right beside her sister, excitedly recounting her week at the farm, the horses, and the wildflowers she'd picked.

From across the table, Mr. and Mrs. Addams watched the two girls with softened expressions.

In a house that often felt heavy with tension, the sisters were always the bright spot.

After a few minutes, Mr. Addams cleared his throat.

"There's something your mother and I need to tell you both."

Isabella paused mid-bite, raising an eyebrow. Cynthia looked up curiously.

Mr. Addams continued, "You’ve always gone to the same schools—ever since Cynthia was old enough to start. We’ve always thought it was important for you two to stay together, to have each other’s backs.” He paused, his eyes resting on Isabella with a mix of pride and exasperation. “But… those schools haven’t exactly worked out the way we’d hoped. Six different ones, actually—and every single one cut short because of incidents tied to Isabella’s… rather difficult temperament.”

Isabella's expression remained carefully neutral.

Cynthia glanced at her big sister with unwavering admiration, unfazed by the reference to the expulsions that had become family legend.

Mr. Addams pressed on. "That ends now. After a lot of long discussions—and calling in every favor we could—we’ve managed to get both of you into Crestwood Academy. It’s a very exclusive day school, not a boarding school, so you’ll be commuting together every day.”

Cynthia's eyes widened with excitement. "Crestwood? For real? The one everyone talks about?"

Isabella set her fork down slowly, her face calm but alert.

Mr. Addams met her gaze. "Yes. You'll both start in two days, giving you just enough time to prepare uniforms and supplies."

Maria added gently, "You'll stay close to home, and you'll have each other."

Cynthia squealed with delight, throwing her arms around Isabella again. "We're going to the same school again, Isabel! Just like always! Aren't you excited? New year, new adventures!"

Isabella allowed the embrace, her hand resting lightly on Cynthia's back. For her little sister's

sake, she summoned a small, reassuring smile.

"Together, as always," she echoed softly, though her eyes held a glint of quiet calculation.

Mr. Addams exhaled, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly.

The decision had been difficult; six expulsions the previous year had tested even his considerable influence.

Yet Crestwood's doors had opened - not just because of money, but because of the Addams name and the discreet promises he'd made.

This mid-August start marked a clean slate.

Conversation gradually resumed, but Isabella stayed quiet the whole time.

***

William stepped into his sprawling top-floor bedroom suite and let the door click shut behind him.

The room was pure him: dark walls with chrome accents, a massive king bed with black silk sheets, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the glittering LA skyline, and his sound system playing low in the background.

He tossed his leather jacket onto a chair, rolled his shoulders, and checked his phone.

The group chat was already blowing up.

Andrew: Welcome back king. Club tonight? Same spot. Everyone's here.

Jax: Get your ass over here man. The place is dead without you.

William smirked and typed back: On my way.

Less than twenty minutes later, his matte-black McLaren pulled up outside the exclusive underground club in West Hollywood.

The bouncer let him in with a nod.

The bass hit him the second he walked inside. Red and violet lights swept across the dance floor. His crew was in their usual VIP booth upstairs, bottles already open.

Andrew spotted him first and stood up, pulling him into a quick bro hug. "Finally. Thought you went soft while you were gone."

Jax and Tyler raised their glasses. William dropped into the booth and accepted the drink they slid his way.

The conversation flowed easily - summer stories, cars, who hooked up with who - until Andrew leaned in, lowering his voice under the music.

"Yo, twelve o'clock. Silver dress. She's been staring at you since you walked in."

William glanced over casually. Benita Reyes. She went to Crestwood and was already in their year, though he'd never paid her much attention before. Tonight she was looking right at him, bold as hell.

She wore a tight metallic silver mini dress that caught the lights with every move.

Long dark hair cascaded over one shoulder, and her glossy lips curved into a small, confident smile.

Jax chuckled. "Girl's got it bad already."

One of her friends, Mira, caught the vibe and walked over with a playful grin.

Mira leaned in toward William, voice teasing. "William, my girl over there has been eyeing you like you're her next meal since you walked in. Figured I'd save her the trouble."

She glanced back and waved Benita over. "Benita, this is William Hawkeye - the one and only. William, meet Benita Reyes. She's in our year at Crestwood."

Benita stood up and came over, stopping close. Up close, her confidence was obvious. She extended a perfectly manicured hand.

"Welcome back," she said, voice smooth and low.

William took her hand, letting the touch linger a second longer than necessary, and gave her that signature slow smirk.

"Thanks," he replied.

Her smile grew. He held her gaze, letting his eyes drift down her body for a moment.

No need for small talk.

They both knew exactly where this was headed.

He nodded toward the empty spot beside him in the booth. "Sit."

She did, sliding in close enough that her thigh pressed against his.

The night had just gotten a lot more interesting.
