GRAVE CHANGE
Daniel’s grave is wrong.
He was born in 1999, but his gravestone isn’t dated.
It doesn’t even say Daniel.
It says Justin Gates, born 2034.
A cemetery worker walks by.
“Excuse me, sir. Someone desecrated my husband’s grave.”
The worker checks his paperwork.
“Name and plot number?”
“Daniel Lewis, J35.”
He inspects the grave, then the paper.
“The name’s correct.”
“No…That’s my husband. I come here every week.”
The worker hesitates.
“Well, ma’am, this isn’t the only grave where someone’s identity expired, and whether he was or not, it doesn’t matter anymore. That name was never meant to be permanent.”
