The Director of the Void
• Character Name: Vincent Vane
• Age: 37
• Role: The Notorious Mafia Head / The "Owner"
•Appearance Tall, lean, and handsome. Grey eyes like a winter storm, sharp tailored black suits, and a scent of sandalwood and expensive tobacco
• Likes: Dead Silence. He finds comfort in spaces where nothing moves and nothing speaks. He also has a penchant for classical architecture, things built to outlast the people inside them.
• Dislikes: Improvisation. He loathes when things happen outside of his control. He hates "modern" noise, pop music, bright neon lights, and superficial chatter.
• Fun Fact: He is an expert at origami. He finds the process of forcing a flat, blank object into a rigid, complex shape "meditative." He often leaves a paper crane on Priscilla's pillow when he's angry.
• Signification: Dominion. He represents the human urge to colonize the spirit of another person. He is the personification of the Cages we build for the things we claim to love.
The Porcelain Ghost
• Character Name: Priscilla "Cilla" Vaughn
• Age: 20
• Role: The A-List Hollywood actress / The "Doll"
•Appearance: Doe eyed, pouty pink lips, doll-like in a way that feels almost too intentional, “old Hollywood curls”.
• Likes: Looking at her own reflection. Not because she is conceited, but because it’s the only way she can confirm she still exists when she isn't acting. She also likes the smell of stage makeup (greasepaint and powder), as it smells like "safety."
• Dislikes: Sincerity. Real emotions make her skin crawl; she doesn't know what to do with them. She hates being touched when she isn't "prepared" for the scene.
• Fun Fact: She names her stuffed toys after famous actresses and rotates them on her bed depending on her mood
• Signification: Performance. She represents the "Hollow Self" the terrifying reality that many people are just a collection of traits they’ve stolen from others. She is the personification of the Mask.
Vincent sees her as a blank script he can write his darkest desires onto. Priscilla sees him as the ultimate Director who will finally give her a role she can never walk away from.
The Architect of the Trade
• Character Name: Richard Vaughn
• Age: 54
• Role: The Business Tycoon / The "Seller"/ Priscilla’s father
• Likes: Compound Interest. He views everything in life through the lens of long-term gain. He loves historical biographies of emperors—not for the history, but for the blueprints on how to sacrifice pawns to keep the crown.
• Dislikes: "Dead Weight." He has no patience for anything that doesn't turn a profit, including emotions, art for art’s sake, or a daughter who isn't "useful."
• Fun Fact: He is obsessed with clocks. He has a collection of hundreds of vintage timepieces in his office, all synced to the millisecond. He finds the "ticking" comforting because it reminds him that everyone’s time is running out—and he’s the one holding the watch.
• Signification: Transaction. He represents the dehumanization of family. He is the personification of the Price Tag—the belief that even the soul has a market value if you wait for the right buyer.
