The Soul's Make-up
The fundamental aspects of a world can be defined as, say, it's power systems, or how the supernatural species' biology works, or maybe even the very act of living. But what if, we need to delve deeper? What if the very act of pursuit necessitates us to not look outside but inside?
For most, we call this the Soul, and generally, this will be the center point of our story. I will explain to you how they work, and possibly even give you food for thought to reimagine how you understand Souls.
Your Soul is "You", it is the culmination of the totality of your identity, memories, experiences, pain, suffering, trauma, even your emotions and personality traits. For everything pertaining to Oneself, it is within the Soul. But what is the Soul? What is it made of? It's a question complex yet simple in its answer: You. The Soul is made out of You, and You are made out of your Soul, a self-determining state that completes itself, free from having to be explained by metaphors and comparisons to what it isn't. But, perhaps one requires a more technical answer.
It all boils down to "Soul Brightness", or from a more understandable manner, the Essence of the Soul. The Soul can be described as the entirety of all of your Soul Brightness structures, where each structure corresponds to a specific trait, aspect, or even memory. You, and a robot, are quite alike in that manner. Robots are made out of code and those codes form structures to make up itself, while Souls are made out of Soul Brightness that, through age, develop into full structures. Colloquially, this is known as Refinement. When Soul Brightness Structures become more refined, the Soul becomes more sapient and capable, such is the natural progression of oneself.
