A destiny in the dark to let you shine your light.
Once upon a time, there was an abandoned city full of cats where they survived by hunting rats, and even though there were many rats, life was still difficult, and near the city there was an old lake where the cats would go to drink when they were thirsty, and all of them were stray cats with no real home. Among them was a small family, Catie, a black tuxedo cat, Ginger, and their little white kitten with a soft pink saddle named Pinky, and Pinky always dreamed of being adopted by a human, but no one ever chose her because she was just another stray.
The city was peaceful, until one day everything changed when a pack of dogs suddenly attacked, sending all the cats into panic as they ran in different directions, and in the chaos Pinky got separated from her parents and ended up alone in a dark forest, and it was the first time she had ever been away from them, so she felt terrified and helpless, but she kept walking, hoping to find something or someone that could help her.
After wandering for a long time, she finally saw a large white house glowing softly in the distance, and unlike everything around it, it didn’t look abandoned, its door slightly open with light pouring out, and even though she was scared, her curiosity pushed her to go inside, where everything was covered in dust and silence filled the air, until she noticed a strange girl sitting at an old table, half cat and half human, holding a set of cards.
Inside the dusty house, Pinky stepped closer and softly said, “Hello?” and the girl looked up, her eyes glowing faintly as she lifted her hand and used magic, and Pinky suddenly gasped, “W-wait… I can talk in my cat form?”
The girl smiled slightly and said, “Only when you need to be understood.”
Pinky hesitated, then said, “I lost my parents… and I’m scared,” her ears lowering, and the girl replied calmly, “Fear isn’t weakness… it means you haven’t found your strength yet.”
She placed five cards on the table and said, “Choose one, but remember… your future depends on you.”
Pinky picked a card, and the girl felt it before saying, “You will be loved, and you will find your parents… but only if you become strong.”
Pinky looked at her and asked, “What if I can’t?” and the girl answered softly, “Then you will learn.”
Pinky took a small breath and said, “I will,” and the girl gave a faint smile, “Good… now go find your way.”
At the same time, in another city, there was a rich girl named Rose who loved cats more than anything, but her mother refused to let her have one because she found them dirty, and Rose didn’t just want any cat, she dreamed of having a unique one, maybe pink, red, or even purple, even though it seemed impossible.
Meanwhile, Pinky continued her journey through the forest, facing wolves, bats, and other wild creatures that made her heart race with fear, and just when she thought she couldn’t go any further, she followed a faint light that led her back to the abandoned city, but as she rushed forward, a giant spider appeared and started moving toward her, freezing her in place with fear, until suddenly a white calico cat leaped in and defeated it with ease.
Pinky stared in amazement and thanked her, feeling both relieved and a little ashamed that she couldn’t do the same, and when the calico introduced herself as Cato, Pinky couldn’t help but admire her bravery.
“Wow… you’re so brave,” Pinky said softly.
“It just takes practice,” Cato replied.
“Can you teach me?”
Cato smiled, “Only if you don’t give up.”
“I won’t.” Said Pinky, her eyes filled with determination
Cato agreed, taking her to a training area filled with worn-out dummies where other cats practiced their skills.
With time and effort, Pinky trained hard, learning how to use her claws and defend herself, and slowly she improved until she could hunt rats and face smaller dangers on her own, and Cato was proud of her progress, while Pinky began to believe that maybe she really could change her future.
Back in Rose’s city, rats had started invading homes and gardens, and her mother, frustrated, finally decided that maybe getting a cat wasn’t such a bad idea after all, so she took Rose to different pet shops, but none of the cats felt right to her.
One day, as Pinky left her city in search of food while Cato was busy on a mission, she followed a group of rats into a new city, chasing them with determination, and at that exact moment, Rose spotted her and immediately fell in love, begging her mother to take her, and although her mother hesitated because Pinky was a stray, she decided to test her by seeing if she could get rid of the rats.
Pinky proved herself quickly, catching them with skill and confidence, and when Rose approached her, Pinky gently spoke, surprising both of them, and once her mother realized how special she was, she finally agreed to let Rose keep her.
From that day on, Pinky and Rose became inseparable, forming a deep bond filled with love and trust, and one day while riding together, Pinky suddenly saw two familiar cats sharing food nearby, and without hesitation she jumped down and ran toward them, calling out to her parents, who recognized her instantly, and the reunion was filled with joy and relief.
Pinky introduced them to Rose, and in the end, Rose adopted all three of them, giving them a warm home and a special place of their own, and even her mother was happy seeing how everything had turned out, and they all lived happily together.
And the lesson of the story is that bravery, practice, and believing in yourself can lead you to the life you dream of. ✨💗
