The Start of Aether wings
The Start of Aether wings: The Shadow of the Aravallis
The silver leaves of Mayavanam did not just rustle; they shivered. The old man sat motionless on his stone bench, his white robes pooling around him like a frozen cloud. Suddenly, the atmosphere thickened. The air began to vibrate with a resonance that felt like it was coming from the very core of the universe.
"The third seal is broken," the voice of the Lord Supreme boomed, echoing through the floating mountains. "Bhumisura, the Earth-Breaker, has anchored himself in the Aravalli Range. He drinks the molten blood of the world. If he reaches the mantle, the peninsula will shatter. Summon the triad, Guardian. Now."
The old man stood, his wooden staff glowing with a fierce, emerald light. He struck the ground three times.
• First Strike: A streak of crimson light tore through the mist. Rohan, the IT Avenger, tumbled out, his indigo suit flickering.
• Second Strike: A burst of golden radiance manifested. Kabir, the Guardian of the Chola Legacy, appeared, skidding across the grass in his Yali armor.
• Third Strike: A heavy, resonant boom echoed as Manav, the Indian Fist, materialized. He stood solid, his saffron-and-navy suit humming with the weight of six years of experience.
The Meeting of the Three
Rohan scrambled to his feet, checking his pockets. "Wait, I was in the middle of a stand-up meeting! What's going on? And who are these guys? Is that kid wearing... ancient carvings?"
Kabir looked at Rohan, then at the massive Manav. "I’m Kabir. I have the Iron Tusk. And you... you’re the one the old man mentioned? The 'Bag-head'?"
Rohan went red. "It was one time! And it was a high-quality plastic bag!"
"Enough," Manav’s voice was deep and steady, commanding immediate attention. "I am Manav. I’ve been the Indian Fist for six years. If we’re all here, it means a Harbinger is down there that none of us can handle alone."
The old man stepped forward, his eyes like polished obsidian. "The introductions are over. The Third Harbinger, Bhumisura, has emerged in the Aravalli Range. He is an eater of tectonic energy. He is currently forcing the ancient granite of Rajasthan to melt, creating a volcanic vein that will incinerate everything from Delhi to Gujarat."
He waved his staff, and a portal of swirling silver opened. "You have the Stone, the Tusk, and the Fist. Go. Save the earth before it turns to glass."
The Battle of the Red Peaks
The heroes were teleported onto a jagged ridge in the Aravallis. The heat was unbearable. Below them, the valley was a lake of bubbling, orange magma. In the center stood Bhumisura. He was a titan of obsidian and cooling lava, thirty feet tall, with fists the size of small cars.
"The Guardian’s pets have arrived!" Bhumisura’s voice sounded like two mountains grinding together. He slammed his fists into the ridge, and the very ground the heroes stood on began to liquify.
The Clash of Egos:
Rohan, eager to prove himself, didn't wait. "I’ve got the speed! Cover your eyes!" He broke the sound barrier, turning into a crimson blur. He fired a barrage of high-intensity lasers at Bhumisura’s head. The beams hit, but the villain simply absorbed the heat.
"Is that all?" Bhumisura laughed, swiping at the air. He missed Rohan, but the shockwave of his hand sent a spray of molten rock directly toward Kabir.
"Shields up!" Kabir yelled, projecting the Golden Yali Barrier. He blocked the lava, but the weight of the molten stone was immense. "Manav! Hit him now while I’m holding the line!"
Manav leaped, his fist glowing with the power of the Gravity Well. "Shatter Strike!" He punched Bhumisura’s knee, intending to topple the giant. The strike was powerful—a massive crack appeared in the obsidian—but as Bhumisura stumbled, Rohan zoomed back in for another pass.
"Move, Rohan!" Manav shouted.
"I've got the angle!" Rohan countered, diving in.
Because they weren't communicating, Rohan’s Mach-1 slipstream collided with the energy of Kabir's shield. The resulting interference caused a massive sonic backlash that knocked all three heroes backward.
Bhumisura seized the chaos. He reached into the magma and pulled out a whip made of liquid fire. He lashed out, catching Kabir’s leg and dragging him toward the lava pit.
"Kabir!" Manav roared. He lunged to grab the boy, but Bhumisura used his other hand to trigger an Earthquake Pulse. The ridge collapsed.
Manav managed to grab Kabir, and Rohan used his flight to pull them both up, but they were battered. Manav, seeing an opening, used his Lotus Regeneration to ignore a burn on his arm and delivered a desperate, full-power blow to Bhumisura’s chest.
CRACK! The obsidian chest-plate of the Harbinger shattered, revealing a core of pulsing, dark energy. Bhumisura gasped, black smoke erupting from the wound. He was injured—seriously—but the heroes were exhausted and out of sync.
"You... miserable insects..." Bhumisura hissed, clutching his leaking chest. "You have no rhythm. No soul. I will return to the Void to mend, and when I rise again, your world will be my furnace!"
With a roar, the villain sank into the molten earth, his signature retreating deep into the subterranean tunnels where they couldn't follow.
The Reckoning and Healing in Mayavanam
The silver portal snatched the heroes back to Mayavanam. They collapsed on the emerald grass, their suits scorched, their energy drained. Rohan’s indigo suit was covered in grey ash; Kabir’s gold armor was dull; and Manav’s saffron sleeves were burnt away.
The old man stood over them. He didn't offer water. He didn't offer praise. His silence was more terrifying than Bhumisura’s roar.
"We hurt him," Rohan panted, trying to find a positive angle. "Manav broke his chest plate. He ran away like a coward."
"He didn't run because he was afraid of you," the old man said, his voice cold and sharp. "He left because he saw that he didn't even need to try. You were doing his work for him."
Manav looked up, his face grim. "Baba, we—"
"YOU FAILED!" the old man thundered. The floating mountains above them shook, and the upward-flowing waterfall paused in mid-air.
"Manav, you fought as if you were still alone in the shadows! Rohan, you used your speed as a toy to show off, nearly blinding your teammates! Kabir, you held a shield but didn't tell them where to stand!"
He paced around them, his staff glowing red with his anger. "Bhumisura is injured, yes. But he now knows your greatest weakness. You have no Coordination. You are three powerful weapons thrown into a pile, hitting each other instead of the enemy. In a war against the Supreme Villain, an army of three individuals is worth nothing. A team of three brothers is worth everything."
Seeing the deep burns and fractured armor of his warriors, the old man’s expression softened ever so slightly. He waved his hand, and three bowls made of carved crystal appeared, filled with a glowing, blue nectar—the Medicines of Mayavanam.
"Drink," he commanded. "The nectar of the Blue Lotus will mend your bones and purge the magma toxins from your blood. But it cannot mend your broken pride. Only you can do that."
As they drank, the cool liquid rushed through their veins. Rohan felt his charred skin knit back together; Kabir’s bruises vanished; and Manav’s deep exhaustion lifted. Within minutes, their bodies were restored to perfect health.
"You are cured of your injuries," the old man said, "but you are not yet cured of your arrogance. Go back to your homes. Reflect on the silence of your failure. When the earth trembles again, I will call. And pray to the Lord Supreme that next time, you fight as one."
With a final strike of his staff, the silver mist enveloped them. Rohan was teleported back to his office breakroom, Kabir to the quiet shadow of the Thanjavur temple, and Manav to his humble room. They were healed, but the weight of the old man’s words hung heavier than any injury.
