Good news!
Rebecca's POV
I read the nameplate of our house I was about to step in. Again.
It read:
â—‡~Reren Mansion~â—‡
¤Mr.Kieren &
¤Mrs.Rebecca
I was so happy to be back again to my house.
I had gone to my mother's house for a month because I was not well.
Kieren had suggested to visit the doctor but I insisted to visit my mother because I had my own doubts.
And yes, I had clarified my doubts.
I was pregnant. 2 weeks. And my happiness knew no bounds.
Kieren and I were married back 3 years ago. His family were concerned about me that I was still not pregnant.
At first, we were not bothered because there have been many scenarios where a new born child will be welcomed after 5 or 6 years of marriage.
But due to Kieren's mom's pleadings we went to a gynecologist who informed us about Kieren's infertility.
Damn it...!
But no. Here I am, proving the doc wrong.
More than anything, I was excited to tell this Kieren, who would surely be happy.
I rang the doorbell.
The maid, Daisy, answered it.
She opened the door and froze when she saw me.
"Hey! What's wrong? Are y-"
"Miss! I am so happy to see you. Are you okay? How are you doing? It's not fair, you know? Why did you leave without saying a word to me? Did you know how much I was worried? Then Sir said-"
"Okay, okay. Calm down! Daisy, I'm fine. I went to my mum's home."
"Oh..."
Her golden-brown hair shone like the afternoon sun, while her smile was as cheerful as always. Her maid dress was tattered at the sleeves with dirt stained at the hands. But her brown eyes reflected the same cheerfulness when she was made our personal maid.
"And I'm back! With good news..." I giggled, sitting down on the sofa.
Daisy made us a quick toast and tea and we ate together.
"What good news, miss?"
I looked at her, and I could feel my cheeks going beetroot red.
"We'll make this a celebration, Daisy. Kieren and I were waiting for this moment a long time."
"Is that why you went to your mother's house? Does Sir know this?" She asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.
"Yes, I had my own doubts. And no, Kieren does not know this. So-"
" Sir does not know it? Then it is not what I thought..."
"What did you think about?" I asked Daisy.
"I thought you were going to buy some new home and property something something... I heard Sir talking about it to someone."
"Oh... I do not know anything about thay, Daisy. He did not say anything about that tho-"
"Miss! Enough beating around the bush what is it? Oh... wait is it what I think it is?"
"What?!"
"Is it your birthday? Or perhaps Sir's birthday? No your birthday comes at somewhat-"
"Daisy! Uh... honestly you don't get it?"
Daisy shook her head.
"I'm pregnant. 2 weeks" I announced, much reluctantly."Good news!"
