“My name is remi tarence and I have a condition…everytime I sleep my gender changes , I used to be a thriving young man ,most popular at school, I'm famous on the streets and internet for my eSports career, but all that has been greatly affected by this new development,it started when I was 17  last year, I was rather surprised when it happened the first time, but as a cool collected guy I didn't overreact”,remi narrates smugly

-it was rather true... well to some degree, the previous year the young man had woken to find he wasn't a young man anymore but a young lady,he was startled but as someone who felt most things in life to be a hassle ,freaking out would be one too,and it would ruin his self given image of being a calm collected cool guy, so he simply called out to his mom in a loud voice. Now the woman who was busy in the kitchen ,hearing a girls voice call her 'mom' from her son's room,dropped what she was doing immediately and  hurried over to check..

“my mother explained this is a hereditary condition in our family that happens to every first born child from her side ,she said sometimes it skips some generations and barely has an effect on the women in the family, meaning if you were a first born son you were definitely getting this condition, she said it starts to blossom In late teens ,and has actually told me about it when I was younger but I thought she was doing a long run prank ,she does that sometimes, it was not a prank ,it was real. Anyways now I've had to move schools after my mom who is a biochemist,tried to find a solution for me.  I'm starting at a new school this week and I have been given these pills that help me instantly go to sleep for about 24 seconds ,my mom custom created them for me, she says no one can find out about my condition or I could get taken away, but I still have to live in the hostels with the esports team so instead we decided since it's a bit far from my home I get a personal apartment next building to the hostel so I can still practice with the team and have privacy for my condition, the coach agreed,we cooked up an excuse which he didn't mind, but it's nice here, my best friend since childhood who goes to the new school I'm changing to works next door and I'm always at her shop to hangout, infact ,I'm there right now and she's documenting my situation like it's a rare animal biography.”

Remi stops monologing as he gives chara a tired look , “ you're not gonna post this are you? ”

“ofc not,only when you get cured or popular cos of it and I will be the one with the hot story” ..chara said as she did a fake maniacal laugh

“ you know I'll never get popular off it you're literally the only person other than my mom and I who know" remi says as “she” dribbles the noodles she was eating over herself

“you're the sloppiest girl I know I hope you get fixed soon “, chara says to jab at remi as she takes up a towel to clean the stain off remi“you know it's nice tho, now i know how it feels to have a sister ,a younger one for sure with how you behave and also you'll be at my school now so it's a plus.”

The two friends despite being childhood friends had actually been seperated for a while, when they were both 8 years old, Chara's parents passed away ,both of them on the same day, they were already a not so well off family and it never got better for chara, she had to move to live with her uncle, who although ,a good man he is ,also couldn't do much for the child but did his best to take care of his brothers daughter,he worked hard but chara herself was always one to never back down ,she worked harder and did well in school and got into the prestigious school she is now, remi though made sure to stay in contact with his friend and they would often write to each other after chara moved , so both friends were delighted when remi stated his family were moving to her neighbourhood and they would finally see each other again, although having been seperated for almost ten years the two got right back to their close friendship like nothing happened, and here they were sharing stories again and enjoying each others company, though one of them looked different a bit too different…

“ I guess that's a good part ,but I'm not showing up like this to school ever,” remi retorts as he is currently a girl, ever since moving here for about a month now remi would occasionally come to to the store chara works casually like that and hangout and help her out with some of her tasks, remi more often made them more difficult since he never did a chore in his life, but chara didn't mind ..,her friend genuinely thinks he's helping and the boss didn't care.. it was free labour

“don't worry I don't want you borrowing my stuff anyways.” Chara replies as she stacks the shelves while remi still sits at the counter hacking away at the noodles like a kid in a high chair .

“ha-ha “ remi laughed sarcastically “anyways I think my neighbour might be having a brain fry moment”

Chara paused the stocking of shelves for a second and turned around “ what do you mean?”

“ well you know before I got the pills and even up until today I just go out whatever form I look regardless,but my neighbour kinda saw me almost everytime I leave the flat we meet at the door, so either he doesn't notice I change genders, he thinks I have a sister….or I have a twin, or cousin I'm too close with.” Remi continued And let out a hearty laugh that was just one “ha!” Obviously delighted with the confused state his neighbour must be in.

chara finding it just as funny giggles about it as well “ but be careful, it won't be safe if your cover gets blown and other people know about your condition, …after messing with him one more time though “

They both find the neighbours misery funny and laugh and joke about it for some more minutes before remi spills the now cold noodles on the floor and chara refuses to clean it up this time and tells remi to get the mop, to which “she” sulks but does anyways….
