The Council

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

The Council Grimoire is the oldest surviving archive of the Seven Seats—an ancient collection of records, prophecies, ascension accounts, council transcripts, and preserved observations gathered across generations of council bearers. Compiled from fragmented manuscripts, damaged archives, disputed copies, and recovered records, the grimoire chronicles the history of the Council itself: the purpose of the Seven Seats, the individuals who carried them, the prophecies they recorded, and the events that shaped the Path throughout history. Yet the deeper the records are studied, the more contradictions emerge. Entire generations have vanished from the archives. Critical passages have been sealed or destroyed. Council members openly disagreed about the meaning of prophecy, the ethics of preservation, and the dangers of intervention. Some records appear altered by unknown hands, while others contain annotations that should not exist at all. As the archive progresses, an unsettling pattern begins to surface. Hidden among the prophecies, disputes, and corrupted records are references to an unidentified figure known only as The Marked One. What begins as an obscure anomaly gradually reveals itself to be the central thread connecting centuries of observation. Part historical record, part prophetic archive, and part recovered grimoire, The Council Grimoire offers readers an unprecedented look into the foundations of the Council, the mysteries of the Seven Seats, and the growing influence of forces that exist beyond the limits of preservation itself. Some knowledge was hidden. Some knowledge was destroyed. And some knowledge was never meant to be found.

The Founding

ENTRY I — OPENING INSCRIPTION

(Preservation Mark — Unattributed)

This record is not written for instruction.

It is not written for guidance.

It is not written for those who seek understanding.

It is written so that what has been witnessed… is not forgotten.

Solven drae vael orin.

— Annotation (later hand):

“We observe what is hidden.” (interpretation uncertain)

If this text has reached you, then the threshold has already been crossed.

Whether by intention… or by consequence… is no longer relevant.

█████████████████████

(Line removed prior to third-generation copy)

ENTRY II — ON THE COUNCIL

(Council Record — Early Transcription)

The Council is not formed.

It is recognized.

The Seven Seats do not govern—they maintain.

They do not act upon the Path.

They observe its movement.

Drae solven vael… thren kai’eth.

— Annotation (fragmented):

“The watchers… remain hidden… as the crossing begins.” (incomplete)

No Seat exists without its counterpart.

No observation exists without consequence.

When one Seat falls, the absence is recorded before the replacement is known.

█████████████████

(Section sealed — authority unknown)

ENTRY III — ON PRESERVATION

(Recovered Entry — Condition Degraded)

This record has been copied.

Not once. Not twice. But across cycles that no longer align with measurable time.

What remains is not original.

What was removed was not accidental.

Vael orin… sythra nyra velora…

— Annotation (later generation):

“Truth concealed. Power fractures the veil.” (confidence: low)

Certain passages have been altered for containment. Others have been erased entirely.

The absence of text should not be mistaken for absence of meaning.

█████████████████████ (Entire segment lost)

ENTRY IV — ON LANGUAGE

(Council Record — Restricted Classification)

The language recorded within this text is not constructed.

It predates the Council. It predates the Path. It predates the structure through which it is now preserved.

It is not learned.

It is remembered.

Velmara thren kai’eth.

— Annotation (multiple conflicting entries):

“She begins to awaken.” “The marked one has already crossed.” “This is not a future statement.”

Final Note (later addition): All prior interpretations remain inconclusive.

ENTRY V — ON PROPHECY

(Council Record — Incomplete)

The Council does not create prophecy.

It records it.

Zyra velora thren…

What is received is not always understood. What is understood is not always recorded.

Certain prophecies cannot be interpreted within the limits of the Seats.

These are preserved without conclusion.

Thyra zyra vora… morath aeth…

— Annotation (partially removed):

“The soul becomes bound… before—” (text missing)

█████████████████████ (Final passage sealed — order unrecorded)

ENTRY VI — ON OBSERVATION

(Council Record — Verified)

Observation is not passive.

To witness is to alter.

To record is to preserve the alteration.

Solven drae vael orin…

Those who are observed may not be aware.

Those who become aware cannot return to unknowing.

Kai’eth… velora… thren…

— Annotation (unattributed):

“Crossing begins at the moment of awareness.”

█████████████████ (Closing lines removed)

CLOSING INSCRIPTION (FOUNDING SECTION)

This record does not guide the Path.

It confirms that the Path… has already begun.
