To quote philosopher Thomas Merton, “A different version of you exists in the minds of everyone who knows you.” To reword alternately, a person is not a single entity but several, or even thousands, as you are reborn in every interaction.
No single story stands alone; each matters within a grand tale, or rather, an epic. We are all connected. The Inventors series is told through multiple perspectives, as seen in the chapter titles.
The Shape of Angels is a frame containing smaller images that, together, form an artwork to be absorbed one word at a time. It is the portrait of a man whose heartbeat was so faint it couldn’t be heard or felt in his chest... perhaps it wasn’t there at all? And the boy who stole it.
