I swear I saw his left eyebrow twitch
“Why don't I just feed you to my pets and be done with it you silly woman!” he glares at me
“If you do that, well umm… “ I look to the side, “you'll be missing out on tasting the most delicious pastry in all Transylberia” I grin and pull out a box of macaroons from my side pocket.
He stared at me funny like he's seconds away from tossing me in his flesh eating hordes. Uh oh

Summary

When the land of Transylberia became plagued by a virus that turns nobles, royal guards, and dukes to attack and bite non-infected magical beings, the entire land became devastated. Not until hope peeked out of the gloom everyone was in, by the form of a tiny blabbering human. A human. Honestly, what has the world come to, that they even have to recruit and beg the help of a race that is practically at the bottom of the hierarchy. Who would have thought though? That this mere cook of the lord of Floravale has saved not only herself but her entire clan as well. The royals swore she's secretly a witch of some sort. How could her cooking, especially those damn macaroons saved Floravalians' asses and not everyone else when they got attacked at a banquet? Something's definitely off with her. Or is it?

The Dessert That Saved The World

When some citizens of Transylberia started catching this disease that makes any individual lose sense of themselves and starts attacking anyone in sight, it brought terror to many as the realization of their magic– the very thing that makes them extraordinary; was helpless against it once bitten by an infected. It made them feel normal. Made them feel weak and mortal. Two things that they're not. Or at least what they try to convince themselves. Because in this world, that description fits the beings on the very bottom of the pyramid– the non magical folks. Humans who have taken the role of slaves to these magical folks. Because what can they actually do? Its not like they can divide the ocean and cross it like some of the magical folks can do, can they? True. But except for Mochi. Afterall, she's the one saving their entire arses from that apocalypse. Do you wonder how? Read on and find out.
