The college café was louder than usual that evening. Music played softly somewhere in the background while students laughed over unfinished assignments and cold coffee. Our group occupied the corner table near the glass windows, surrounded by empty fries packets and half-finished drinks. “Truth or dare?” Maya asked dramatically, spinning the bottle in the middle of the table. The bottle stopped at Alina. She groaned. “Truth.” A chorus of disappointed sounds came from everyone. “Boring,” Maya muttered before leaning forward with a grin. “Fine. What’s your biggest fear?” Alina rolled her eyes at first, but then her expression shifted slightly. “Abandoned places,” she admitted quietly. “Especially old churches and hospitals. I don’t know why, but they just feel… wrong.” “Like haunted?” someone laughed. “Exactly like haunted,” she replied immediately. A few of us laughed, but I noticed how serious she looked. Then Maya spun the bottle again. This time, it stopped directly in front of me. “Oh no,” I sighed. “Truth or dare?” Maya asked instantly. I smirked. “Dare.” The entire table exploded with reactions. “Big mistake.” “You’re done.” Maya’s grin slowly widened. “You know that abandoned church outside the city?” The smile on my face faded slightly. Everyone knew about that church. Rumors about it had spread across the city for years. Some people claimed strange noises came from inside after midnight. Others said the basement had been sealed decades ago after multiple disappearances. About 10 years ago, someone tries to solve the mystery of that church but never came back... After that there's huge security outside the church. No one's allowed to enter, Most people avoided even talking about the place. Maya leaned closer across the table. “Your dare,” she said softly, “is to go there tonight. At eight.” For a second, nobody spoke. Then someone laughed nervously. “You’re insane.” I looked around the table before forcing a shrug. “Fine,” I said casually. “I’ll go.” “NO WAY—” “You’re actually serious?” I grabbed my bag from the chair beside me and stood up with a confident smile I didn’t completely feel. “Tonight.
