The poacher leveled his gun at the quagga. Finding himself lost in the quagga’s black eyes, he lowered the gun. Why am I not shooting? He wondered, though the thought vanished as quickly as it came. Turning away, he began to wonder why he had not seen any quaggas yet.

Evtida: It was a very sweet story, but it felt rushed. It didn't really convey the emotions. For example, when the girl was kidnapped, instead of panicking, going crazy, and causing a scene, giving in felt strange... His exaggerated relationship with his gay friend was also odd in my opinion.
