Fragment of My Vertigo

We all walk on a paper thin line but what happens when you surpass it?

What happens when the only thing holding you still abandons you as well?

Is there a way to overcome this grieving phase?

Or is it your death wish?

That’s what it was for me.

The graveyard stone imprisoned my body below but my soul escaped through a tiny hole searching for closeness to the same eyes that scarred my paper skin.

This is not a story about supernatural creatures but rather about a corpse walking amongst the living in disguise.

Some wounds cannot be healed and some bonds cannot be rebuilt.

No matter how much of a fight you put up, something will always block the way.

Is it for good ? Is it for bad?

That, I cannot clearly state.

But once you stare closely enough you’ll see how rotten it’s in there.

You touch, I flinch.

You breathe, I choke.

You sense, I don’t.

We’re opposites yet the same.

I yearn for one last embrace. One last longing stare and I’ll be out your way.

The wind will sweep me away into the sea.

Both of us will finally be free.
