Why i have to be a demon ? (Ch-1)

I’m a vlogger. One day, while filming in the hilly forests of the Himalayas, I met with a terrible accident. It was a sunny day, the snow was melting, and the rocks were dangerously slippery. My shoes lost their grip, and I fell from a height of fifty feet. A sharp log pierced through my eye and into my brain.

It wasn’t an instant death. As I lay there, every regret of my life flashed before my eyes.“I… I don’t want to die… I’m still single…”The broken words escaping my mouth slowly faded away as darkness completely consumed my consciousness.“Ah…”I woke up in a massive bedroom. The room was littered with corpses drained of every drop of blood, while the white bedsheets were soaked in fresh crimson stains.“Where am I? Didn’t I die? Am I in hell?”The young man murmured as he looked around the enormous bed he was sitting on.Suddenly, the door opened, and several breathtakingly beautiful maids slowly stepped into the room one after another. Without a word, they began dragging the dead bodies out of the master bedroom.“What the fuck…? Who are these gorgeous women? Wait… I didn’t die? Did I forget about my past life and become an actor? And now, out of nowhere, I suddenly remembered my past life in the middle of filming? Yeah… that must be it for sure.”The young man murmured inwardly as he wiped the imaginary sweat from his forehead. He turned toward a nearby maid and asked in a loud yet majestic voice that echoed throughout the huge bedroom.“L-Lord Dracula? Lord Dracula, if you are still hungry, we can bring a few more livestock from the dungeon.”“Wait… that’s not my voice.”With countless doubts filling his mind, he rushed toward the mirror. The moment he saw his reflection, he nearly pissed himself.Staring back at him was the silhouette of a demon.A bloody demon.“Wait… is this some kind of screen? Is that demon in the mirror just VFX?”The young man grabbed the decorative knife hanging on the wall and smashed it against the mirror.Crack… crack…“It… it’s a real mirror? A completely normal mirror? Then the demon I just saw was actually me?”The young man murmured with a horrified look on his face. The maids hurried forward to clean the shattered pieces of glass, but the young man quickly stopped them.“W-Wait… I’ll do it. We’re not filming right now, are we? You don’t have to keep acting. Take a break. I’ll clean it myself.”“My lord, please spare our lives! We will never repeat this mistake again! Please allow us to clean and replace the mirror in the master’s bedroom!”All the maids spoke in unison while trembling in fear. The young man was intimidated by their desperate reaction and awkwardly stepped back.“Haha… okay, okay. Calm down. You can do whatever you want.”Then he slowly walked toward a nearby maid and asked,“What exactly is this ‘livestock’ you were talking about? If we’re hungry, shouldn’t we just eat normal meals?”“M-My lord, please forgive me for my impudence!”The maid immediately knelt on the floor, her face filled with terror.“Hm… Miss, I don’t know why you’re acting like this, but you still haven’t answered my question.”The young man shook his head helplessly.“P-Please forgive me, my lord. Livestock refers to fresh-blooded young men and women. We also raise children until adulthood and use them as livestock for your meals.”Her entire body trembled violently as she spoke.“What the fuck?!”The young man was horrified after hearing her explanation and instinctively thought about escaping from the place. However, the moment he looked out of the window, he froze.A small town surrounded the gigantic castle he was currently inside. The castle stood at the very center of the town, allowing him to clearly see everything happening below.Humans were stripped naked, tied up, and dragged around like sheep and goats. They were beaten, slaughtered, and butchered mercilessly. Human flesh was being sold openly in almost every shop as far as his eyes could see.The gruesome sight traumatized him mentally.Yet strangely, instead of feeling disgusted or repulsed by the horrifying scenes, he felt a slight sense of excitement while watching the bloodshed unfolding throughout the town.“What’s happening to me? Am I some kind of monster? Why don’t I feel anything after seeing what’s happening to these humans? And what the hell are these demons and monsters doing here? Why am I inside this gigantic cursed castle?”The young man murmured with a devastated expression.Suddenly, he noticed a young woman in tattered clothes running through the streets while tightly holding her little brother in her arms.“If I don’t interfere, those demons will slaughter them… but how am I supposed to save them? Am I even strong? Can I fly?”He walked toward the bed. The massive bed looked heavy enough to require thirty or forty men to lift it together, yet he effortlessly raised it with a single finger.“Hehe… I’m seriously strong.”The young man murmured in disbelief. Then he tried to fly.Slowly, his feet rose into the air.“Shit… shit… I’m actually flying… damn!”It took him a few seconds to balance himself before he shot out through the window and flew toward the siblings. His speed increased rapidly, and within mere moments, he landed right in front of them. The young woman crashed into his broad chest, and he instinctively held her gently in his arms. For a brief moment, she felt an overwhelming sense of safety within his embrace.“Hm… you can stop hugging me now.”“Ah…?”Startled, she quickly stepped back in fear.“What the heck am I doing? Everyone here is a demon!”She immediately turned around to run away, but the young man grabbed her wrist and stopped her.Even though she used all her strength, she couldn’t move even an inch.“H-He’s strong…”She murmured fearfully.“You bastard! Who are you?! How dare you lay your hands on our prey?!”One of the bulky demons roared while glaring fiercely at the young man.“Wait, idiot! Do you have a death wish? Can’t you sense his presence? He’s a high-born demon!”Another demon shouted with a terrified expression.“What?! A high-born demon?!”The bulky demon instantly fell to his knees in terror, trembling violently. Seeing him kneel, the remaining demons quickly followed one after another. The young man ignored them completely and turned back toward the young woman.“You and your little brother will become food if you stay here even one minute longer. Come with me.”The little boy, who had been silently hugging his sister with his eyes tightly shut, slowly opened them and looked curiously at the young man.Although the young man’s presence felt overwhelmingly powerful, it strangely gave off warmth rather than fear.“Sister… who is he?”The little boy asked softly.“I… I don’t know…”The young woman replied while shaking her head in a daze.
